Super place in Ribera Grande

We recently spent a week on San Miguel. This place is in a great location for exploring the island. We really liked the town and the house which included all of the amenities we needed for our stay. Comfortable and well appointed ( for 4 of us) with a warm sun room and a terrace out back. One of the best beaches on the island is a short walk away. We loved going down to walk the shore line at sunset. The island itself is full of wonderful trails and amazing scenery and quirky weather. We enjoyed it all!

Great for family vacations

This is a fantastic property located in an island-central village and was exactly what we wanted. While Ponta Delgada has more of an urban feel - we wanted something just a little off the beaten path but still easy access to amenities. The house is a walk or short drive to restaurants, the market, small cafés, and the beach yet retains the quaint, Azores village feeling we wanted. The house was well appointed with many kitchen tools, extra towels/linens, washer/dryer, back yard, late-day sun deck, parking, and high speed wifi. It even had some toys and games for the kids! Our host was terrific and accommodated our early check-in/late check-out requests. The host was responsive (less than 5 min responses over WhatsApp). Highly recommended - you won't be disappointed!

A wonderful stay in Ribera Seca in spite of the weather

A wonderful stay for newbies to the Azores. Pedro the property manager met us at the airport and helped us get our luggage to the house. Our rental car was too small for the 4 of us. The house had everything we needed from cooking supplies to clothes washing detergent and softener. There were a couple of small items which Pedro quickly and efficiently fixed. A follow up from Mario the owner was also appreciated. Overall service from the owner and property manager was exemplary. The house location was a short walk to a local cafe and grocery store plus a a bigger supermarket was a 4 minute drive. The beach was an easy 12 minute walk. Too bad the winter season had started and wind and rain were predominant during our 4 day stay. We would definitely stay here again if we go back to the Azores.

It is well located within walking distance to the beach and to a big supermarket and also an excellent starting point to explore this wonderful island. A great place to stay

This house is well represented by the information on line and when you arrive it's just as you expect. It's clean, well equipped and a nice place to be. Pedro is a pleasant and very helpful man who does anything he can to make your stay a good one. Within walking distance is a very good restaurant and a couple of shops but you really do need a car to get out and about and the island is certainly worth looking around, so much natural beauty and there really is stunning scenery in any direction you look. We had a great holiday and hope if you book this place you do too.

Magic Island

We enjoyed our stay in the city of Ribeira Grande! The house had everything we needed. Santa Barbara beach was a short 1 km walk away, grocery store is a short walk/drive away. The whole island is easily within reach from this location. Sunsets from the patio were marvelous! Plenty of room in the house for 6 adults. We would not hesitate staying here again!

Wonderful Stay!

We were a group of 6 people that travelled to Ribeira Grande July 2018. We were more than pleased with the accommodations and the overall property! Pedro (the manger) was always accessible and very helpful if and when we needed his assistance. There was ample room for our group and great amenities (washer, dryer). The location did warrant the use of a car, so we rented one for two days and hired a driver for another. There was plenty to see and plenty to do. I would highly recommend this property, as it was an overall excellent stay.

Perfect Hidden Gem. Home from home.

Simply perfect !!!!!! As a family of four, there is plenty of room to relax and unwind. Situated on the edge of town Surf Beach- Santa Barbara is perfect for joining in or getting away from it all, The house has everything you need for your comfortable stay, we loved it!!! It is a short stroll to the best beach on the island, which we visited every evening, after our full days exploreing this Amazing island. Thank you Pedro. We've all had an amazing time!

Une vraie maison de village, bien équipée à proximité d'une supérette où on trouve tout le nécessaire. Plage idéale pour le surf (et baignade) à 15 min à pied. Grande surface a 10 min en voiture ouverte tous les jours jusqu'à 22h en été ! Gérant Pedro très serviable et disponible qui nous a accueilli à l'aéroport et nous a guidé jusqu'à la maison. Malgré l'heure tardive il nous a présenté son île avec enthousiasme. Seul point noir : le stationnement devant la maison dans la rue passante parfois un peu compliqué. ...

Around 10 minutes from the beach by foot.

I will personally receive you with a big smile. Very spacious and beautiful lawn with lovely friendly birds, you can feed them, you can see the sheer happiness on your family members as they interact with these pets, that alone is not easy to find anywhere.
