Originally from Willis, Texas, we discovered this peaceful and beautiful town several years ago and immediately fell in love. We used to drive by this cottage while exploring the area, hoping that one day it would be for sale. Finally, in 2023, our dream came true! It's been a labor of love, taking about a year and a half to restore it to its historic beauty. We feel more like caretakers of this wonderful little piece of history. We're happy to be able to open its doors and let others experience the magic of staying in this special cottage. We hope you enjoy your time here!

Why they chose this property

Nestled among other charming, lovingly restored and renovated little houses, our cottage sits in a truly delightful neighborhood. What we enjoy most is the peaceful atmosphere. It's wonderful being within easy walking distance of the main shops and restaurants in town, offering convenience and a real sense of community. Yet, being just a few blocks off the main road means we can enjoy all that without any of the traffic noise. It's the perfect blend of tranquility and accessibility.

What makes this property unique

What makes our property truly unique, we believe, is its blend of historic charm and modern comforts. The large backyard, enclosed by a beautiful historic rock wall, feels like a private oasis. And the original carriage house tucked in the corner adds such a special touch of history. The mature pecan trees not only offer wonderful shade on sunny days but also create a magical ambiance, especially in the evenings with the twinkle lights. We've also added a grill and fire pit with plenty of seating, perfect for enjoying outdoor gatherings. Then there's the front porch with its two rocking chairs – it's the ideal spot to unwind, watch people stroll by, listen to the birds, and really imagine what life might have been like here back in 1884. It’s like stepping back in time while still having all the conveniences you need for a relaxing stay.
