Le Soli A6 is a large 2 roomed, 1 bedroom apartment (47sqm) located 200m from the Chatel resort centre. Located on the 2nd floor it has a large wrap around south-west facing balcony with spectacular views over the Linga slopes and the Abondance Valley. It comprises of a lounge, with 2 sofa beds and other seating, a full sized kitchen/diner with table and seating for 6, large double bedroom with double bed140x190 and 2 bunk beds 80x190, bath/shower room and separate WC. In the lounge area there is a large screen smart TV with sound bar and board games for your entertainment. One entire wall of the lounge is glazed with a large sliding door onto the balcony making the most of the fantastic views. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, electric hob, fridge, microwave and Nespresso coffee maker. All utensils, crockery and cutlery are provided.The spacious bedroom has a double bed and full sized bunk beds. There is a ski locker located within the building and off street parking for your convenience. There is full access to Wifi is provided by Orange.
How to find us:: By Plane: Geneva Airport is only 75km away By Train: there are stations at Thonon-les-Bains in France (SNCF), and Aigle or Monthey in Switzerland (CFF). By Car: there are two routes into Châtel, either via Thonon-les-Bains in France, or via Monthey in Switzerland. Driving from Calais you can usually get to Châtel in around 9 hours. Our suggested route is motorway from Calais to Besançon, Pontarlier, towards Lausanne, Montreux, Monthey, Morgins, and Châtel.
Winter:: Chatel (1235m/4025ft) is one of the most attractive resorts in the Haute-Savoire region of the French Alps. It is part of the Portes du Soleil, one of the largest ski regions in Europe, covering 12 resorts including Avoriaz, Morzine, Les Gets in France and Champéry, Torgon and Morgins in Switzerland. In all it has over 650km of ski slopes with 208 lifts all accessible using a single, inclusive ski-pass. Chatel has an excellent snow record and Le Soli is ideally placed for getting to the ski slopes. The Super Chatel gondola is a short walk away and free buses depart from the market square for the chair lifts in Linga and Pre-la-Joux. All levels of skiers and snowboarders are well catered for with mile after mile of well groomed runs for intermediates and easy access to a number of high altitude slopes for beginners. For experts, the amount of easily accessible off piste is just phenomenal. There are also a number of good, steep black runs including the infamous 'Swiss Wall'.
Summer:: In the summer season you have access to hundreds of kilometers of mountain biking tracks and mountain footpaths of varying difficulty. There are also man-made mountain biking trails to suit all levels throughout the region with dedicated bike parks at Pre-la-joux and Super Chatel. The lifts are open during July and August making your mountain ascents much easier. There are 8 tennis courts and a large open air pool within a 10 minute walk of the apartment. Facilities for other activities such as rock climbing, via ferrata, white water rafting, pony trekking and canyoning are also close by. The pretty towns of Evian and Thonon-les-Bains are both within a 40 minute drive. Here you can catch a ferry to travel across lake Geneva or participate in other beach side activities such as watersking and sailing. These towns also have spa and wellness centers. On the Swiss side, Montreux (home of the world renowned Jazz Festival during the first two weeks of July) is a 40 minute drive away.

We spent a lovely week in Châtel in this spacious and comfortable flat with a gorgeous view. Very cosy and warm. I definitely recommand and would consider staying here again !
We had a wonderful stay at this flat in Châtel. The apartment has a beautiful view and was very clean, warm, and comfortable. The bedding was of good quality and perfectly clean, which made our stay even more pleasant.The flat is very well equipped — it has everything you need, especially if you plan to cook during your stay. We really liked it and truly enjoyed our time there.The apartment is ideal for 4 to 6 people and offers plenty of space. Communication with the host was perfect from start to finish. There is also parking available, which is very convenient.The location is excellent: close to the center of Châtel and easy to access. We would highly recommend this flat and would happily stay here again.

Appartement pratique et bien agencé à proximité du centre
Pour commencer, avant la location : les photos sont représentatives de l'appartement et Alexander est très réactif pour répondre aux différentes questions.
L'arrivée s'est bien passée : la place de parking dédiée juste à côté de la résidence est pratique. La procédure d'arrivée est bien détaillée, aucune surprise.
L'appartement en lui-même correspond bien à l'idée que nous nous en étions faites à la location. La chambre et le couchage dans le salon conviennent parfaitement pour 5 (3 ados et 2 adultes). Bien sûr ce n'est pas très grand mais on n'a pas eu l'impression d'être les uns sur les autres contrairement à d'autres fois. L'appartement est plutôt bien agencé.
Côté équipements, rien ne nous a manqué, tout était de bonne qualité.
Le balcon et la vue sont des petits plus assez agréables.
Côté localisation, on est proche du centre et du départ des navettes en passant par le raccourci pratique détaillé dans le carnet d'accueil (5 à 6 min). Pour monter à Super Châtel il faut marcher un peu plus (environ 10 min... à un rythme chaussures de ski donc ça reste proche... et ça permet de se chauffer avant d'attaquer les pistes !).
A noter que depuis Linga, la ligne 3 des navettes revient quasi au pied de la résidence.
La station en elle-même on ne connaissait pas. Ce qui nous a un peu surpris ce sont les embouteillages dans le centre à certaines heures. En tout cas l'appartement est légèrement en dehors de la zone, donc ce n'est pas une gêne et il n'y a pas de bruit de cette circulation.
Une autre chose un peu surprenante : la séparation assez nette du domaine entre Super Châtel et Linga (suite aux glissements de terrain l'an dernier la jonction télé siège par les pistes était en vitesse réduite). Il y a des heures à éviter pour ne pas attendre trop longtemps. Lorsque la jonction est pleinement opérationnelle ça ne doit pas être le cas. L'autre solution est de passer par les navettes, nombreuses et régulières.
Au final on a vraiment bien profité du séjour : pistes agréables et variées malgré le relatif manque de neige cette année. Le soleil se cache assez vite par endroit : on choisissait les pistes en fonction du soleil. Il y a de nombreux restaurants d'altitude, le centre balnéo pour ceux qui aiment moins skier est à 15 min à pieds de l'appart, les restau du centre sont à réserver tôt !
Si on pouvait est-ce qu'on reviendrait à cet appartement lors d'une autre visite à Châtel ? Oui, sans aucun doute.

L'appartement est spacieux, la vue est très agréable, et il est très bien équipé. Il est proche des commerces. Vacances reussies malgre une météo plutôt sous le signe de chutes de neige. Excellent ski
L'appartement est très sympa pour un séjour au ski. Il est très bien équipé tant du côté cuisine que du côté équipement pour les mauvais jours! La résidence est très bien entretenue et calme. La place de parking est aussi un plus. On peut tout faire à pied car la station est vite saturée par les automobiles aux heures de pointe!!
Appartement très agréable; très bien placé à proximité immédiate du centre.
L appartement est fonctionnel, terrasse très agréable où l on peut déjeuner. Cuisinée très bien équipée et literie parfaite. Propriétaire réactif et sympathique

Appartement spacieux et lumineux dans une résidence calme. Appartement bien équipé avec une bonne literie.
Résidence bien placée par rapport au centre du village et des arrêts de bus mais malheureusement pas de départ skis aux pieds possible.
La propreté bien que correcte pourrait être un peu améliorée.

De très belles vacances ensoleillées, enneigées et confortables!
Ce fut un plaisir de séjourner dans l'appartement confortable, spacieux, lumineux, très bien équipé et offrant une vue remarquable sur la vallée et les sommets.
L'appartement est situé assez proche du centre de Châtel, ce qui permet de ne pas utiliser la voiture et d'accéder très facilement à pieds aux remontées mécaniques et aux nombreux commerces de Châtel. Nous recommandons fortement ce séjour!

Great location,

The apartment has a constant extract system which keeps the air fresh but I noted that all of the vents were firmly closed after your visit. The vents may have been mistakenly closed by previous guest. The apartment flooring has also now been replaced.

Perfect location to centre of town and Ski Bus
Very comfortable apartment which is very close town centre and ski bus stop. There was no WiFi, even though advertised but this wasn’t a problem. Hired our ski equipment from Vincent Sport, who were excellent. All round a great week in Chatel and would definitely stay here again

Perfect family holiday base
We have had a couple of lovely weeks in this apartment. It’s in the perfect location for little legs! Easily accessible front Geneva too. It is equipped with everything you could ever need and has stunning views over The Valley and mountains. We hope to go back again some time - winter or summer.

Clean, well equipped & well located with a lovely view into the valley.
The apartment was well situated for the ski lifts & restaurants & bars. The only problems we had were with the agency in town who didn't leave the keys where they said they were going to for our late night arrival. It made arrival a little stressful. We were also surprised that we were asked to thoroughly clean the apartment before departure- or pay an additional and unexpected fee for a cleaner. On the whole however would recommend for a family or small group of friends.

A wonderful summer holiday in the Alps
We had a fabulous two weeks staying in this apartment in Chatel. The place was ideal for our family of 4 (two boys aged 8 and 5). The apartment was very clean and well kitted out, with everything you need. Chatel had loads to offer in the summer, especially with the excellent value multi-pass which gives you summer access to all the lifts/swimming pools/tennis courts throughout the area (not just in Chatel) for €2 per day. It's right in the centre of town, so very convenient.

Close to all you need
My friend and I stayed in the apartment for a week in July 2009 and had an extremely comfortable stay. We loved the amazing view of the mountains from the main family room as well as watching the sunset from the well sized veranda after long days of walking and exploring.
The apartment is a great size for a small group of friends/family of 6 with all you need provided inside and outside! The apartment is clean and really well stocked with those household things you don't want to have to squeeze into your luggage. It also has a good selection of guide books and brochures on things to do, dvd's and all modern kitchen facilities. Outside, you have excellent access to walks, ski runs, Tourist Information Centre, local shops, restaurants, cable cars and basically all you need. The town provided entertainment for children and near by is great mountain biking routes and walking tracks/ski runs for all ages and abilities. I would highly recommend basing yourself in this perfectly located apartment in Chatel and exploring all that the town and area has to offer (Montraux Jazz Festival was fantastic)!

Ski Haven
Light, open, clean, well equipped appartment with fabulous views across the valley. Very comfortable, warm with all the facilities you need for a low stress skiing holiday. The balcony was perfect for a beer and sunset view after a hard days skiing. Local ski hire and tourist offices were very helpful. Access to a vast range of ski fields to accomodate all abilities. Lovely traditional town with good eateries and bars within a 5 minute walk of the front door.
Owners friendly and approachable and only too willing to give further tips about the area.
Highly recommended!
