What a fabulous stay we had! Rachel was a great host - friendly, pro-active and responsive, and the home was perfect! Spacious and light-filled. Beautiful morning views, and an easy short drive to the Capitol and downtown. Recommend it highly!
We loved this place. It had everything we needed. Very cozy but large enough for our family to spread out. Wish we could have spent more time there. Our favorite place was the deck. We had our breakfast there and enjoyed the gas fire pit. We even saw antelope from the deck!
The owners were very responsive to all communication. The house is beautiful and spacious in a very nice setting. We saw a wildlife running through the property, and the view is scenic out the back.
House was very clean, quiet, and just as pictured. Our group enjoyed the beautiful scenery and fire pit on the back porch. Owner was quick to respond to our inquiries. The only issue we had was the dryer wasn’t working during our stay, but the owner had a service scheduled after our visit. We visited a laundromat to dry our clothes.
We had a wonderful time at Rachel's home. We had 9 adults, a 2 year-old and an infant in our party. There was plenty of room for all of us. The house was perfect for a large group. We loved the deck and the backyard. We especially appreciated the outdoor games that were available. The home was clean, the beds were comfortable and blankets were plentiful. Rachel was so responsive to our questions. Whenever I contacted her, she responded right back. The home was in a lovely setting that was very peaceful. It was also in a good location making it easy to get to places we wanted to visit.Things that would make a stay even better would be table lamps on the bedside tables. It's very dark once the overhead light is turned off making it tricky to move around an unfamiliar room. Also it might be helpful to use WD-40 on the lower level door hinges as they squeak when opening which wakes the little ones :) We used the outdoor fireplace but were unable to get the indoor fireplace to work. I am confused as to whether or not pets are accepted. The VRBO site said no pets but the notebook containing information, at the house, mentioned pet supplies/toys.We highly recommend this VRBO from Rachel. The price was very reasonable and the house was wonderful. Thank you Rachel!!

Thank you for the feedback! Lamps are an easy add for convenience. Pets are allowed with a pet fee. Not sure why the app says they aren’t allowed. I’ll get it figured out. Glad you enjoyed your stay
We just got back from the most incredible weekend at Rachel and Eric’s VRBO in Montana, and I can’t stop raving about it! From the moment we arrived, it was clear this wasn’t just a rental it was a labor of love. The home is beautifully designed, impeccably clean, and fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. Every detail was thoughtful, intentional, and so welcoming. The views? Unreal. Waking up to the Montana mountains, sipping coffee while deer wandered past...it felt like a dream. We loved cozy nights by the fire, slow mornings on the porch, and the peaceful, wide-open space that gave us the deep breath we didn’t know we needed!Rachel and Eric were outstanding hosts, so responsive, warm, and genuinely committed to making sure our stay was perfect. You can tell they care deeply about their guests' experience, and it shows in every part of the home.If you're even thinking about booking this place do it! It’s the perfect blend of comfort, charm, and Montana magic. We left refreshed, aligned, and already planning our next trip back!!Thank you, Rachel and Eric, for sharing your slice of paradise with us. You’ve created something really special.
Spacious property with lots of room to gather. Very comfortable beds. Pool table in the basement was fun to enjoy for the kids. Very clean and had everything you would need. Beautiful backyard and deck and even spotted wildlife a few times. Secluded but very close to town. Would stay again.
This was the first trip "going home" after the family home has been sold and parents are in the retirement home, so Big Mountain Retreat was our new sibling reunion home - and it did not disappoint! It was terrific; roomy, comfortable, well appointed, quiet, lovely view across grassy foothills, spacious kitchen, large dining room, gorgeous deck, not to mention charmingly decorated! The house set us up for a relaxed, joyful, visit! One small complaint, we have a person in the family that is obsessively clean, and when we arrived we found a lot of dust and dirty windowsills...
Rooms were cleanGreat for familyKitchen was lacking, no coffee, no alum foil no saran wrap
