I was impressed by how well kept it was and you had no problem with random people walking in the building or coming in and out. Also I was able to cook a meal and warm up a meal after dinning out. I will be making that a place to go when in need a place to stay in Spokane. And I will also let my friends and family know about this spot.
Overall, the location is unbeatable, and the price is fair. The building is basically an apartment/condo development in downtown Spokane. There is a secure parking garage that was never more than 1/2 full, but the VRBO rooms don't get to use this. They indicate "plenty of street parking", but don't mention that the vast majority of that street parking is 2 hour limit until 7pm. There are also lots that allow overnight parking, but you get charged if your car is still there after 7am. The management company for the many (at least 10 I could find) VRBO rooms in this building used photos from a few of them for all the posts, and appears to play a shell game with the posts to ensure none have more than 1-2 bad reviews before taking it down and creating a new post. The room itself was sparse, but nice. When we arrived, the A/C was cranked and the whole room had that stinky freon smell it took some time to clear with open windows and the heat on.Overall, the room was a value due to the convenient location and low price. But the 30-40 savings from one of the nearby chain hotels with free parking comes out about even in the end, but without the inconvenience of having to constantly worry about your parking timer. I think I would still recommend them for a stay in Spokane. But being surprised by all of these minor problems makes it hard to feel that way. If you plan to stay here and know about these concerns, I think you will find the stay a good value with a lot of up side.
