Thankful for a quick getaway with our college kids before they head back to school. The space was very unique and the location was perfect for our family of four. First visit to St George Island and it will not be our last.
This is our second stay here. It’s so peaceful & amazingly beautiful. The beach is a short walk & the bay is in the back yard. The sunsets are breathtaking. Thank you Eunika for sharing this little slice of paradise with us. We will be back next year hopefully
The property was one of the nicest i've stayed in at St George Island in a long long time.... Extremely quiet and private and the owners were more than accommodating on our special needs and requests,Which was greatly appreciated.... We will absolutely be looking to acquire the property in the future for years to come. I myself manage properties, and this one is truly a step above the rest... Thank you so much for the amazing quality and professionalism,And we are looking forward to returning next year...
My husband and I enjoyed our stay on St George Island. The house was comfortable, the scenery beautiful and peaceful. We hope to be able to stay at this cute house again.
What a wonderful property. We’re so grateful for the experience. Loved the character and comfort of this eclectic fantastic home. Can definitely sense the pride and care that goes into maintaining it. Very unique charm in a magical setting. The views were spectacular. Best of both worlds staying on the bay and visiting the beach every day. Would love to return.
This very private lodging has everything one needs, especially in the kitchen. Yay, a coffee grinder! From the pristine piney & palmy woods to the marshes and bay view, the natural environment is simply outstanding. Fish are-a-jumping and birdlife galore, including big ones like the Great Egret, Great White Heron, Pelican, Great Blue Heron, Bald Eagle, Sandhill Crane, & Osprey. There's even a pair of binoculars to catch the action. The house is a short walk to the beach and not far from Nick's Hole, a beautiful protected area with trails, and Bob Sike's Cut, a wild and wooly spot to fish or take in the scenery. Sunsets are sublime. Definitely recommend this property.
Outta Banks did not disappoint. We loved the house, the privacy, everything. You can tell a lot of thought and care went into this home. It is not just a rental property, but a place for cherished memories to be made. Thank you Eunika for sharing this wonderful place with our family. We will be back. Five stars!!!!!
I have never written a poor review on any hosting site and I’m sad to say this will be the first. It started with poor communication by the host and then went to ghosting communication on the day of arrival. We had requested an early check in if at all possible but never received a response. Arrived 15 minutes before arrival with absolutely no check in instructions to find a back sliding glass door wide open, could view through the windows that all bed sheets were off and unmade and a huge pile of towels and bedding in the laundry room. Had to contact VRBO who contacted host. She had no answers and told us she would contact manager. Manager arrived at 4:15 stating check in was not until 5pm. I had picture proof from our reservation check in was at 4pm, besides the fact that the home was hours away from being clean. From what we could see home is older and not at all like the pictures. We received a full refund and had to find a last minute hotel. Shout out to VRBO for handling the situation. Very unfortunate event and very disappointing for our family vacation. Made the best of it and stayed at At The Gibson Inn which we HIGHLY recommend.
From the moment we drove down the driveway, we knew we had found a special place. This house has soul. So many little places in one place for memories. From the swing, the hammock, outdoor shower, balconies to the amazing dock. All with the most beautiful views. We stayed at Eunika’s home for six nights and we will be returning. My fiance loves to fish and the end of the dock was the perfect place. The first morning he caught a nearly two ft Red Fish. We caught a plethora of catfish. Dolphin siting, bird watching, critter viewing. This home allows for an experience. The fact we were tucked into The Plantation gated community was another plus as the beaches were not crowded. There was so much to do we didn’t get to it all. We bought all of our groceries at the Piggly Wiggly and made all of our meals. The kitchen is abundantly stocked with everything you could need. We did venture out finally on our fifth day with a hankering for oysters. Nice day trip to Apalachicola. Our last night we went to Paddy’s Raw Bar. Survivor bait shop will hook you up and give you some tips and advice. I can’t say that it’s not just a physical place, we rented a house for a week. This was a spiritual and emotional feeling that we were fortunate to have. It feels like home, it feels like family. Thank you Eunika, we will be back.

Why they chose this property
I love the quiet and wildlife. My favorite is to enjoy early morning coffee and watch a wide variety of birds do their morning routine. I love the private view of historic Apalachicola Bay; the sunsets are amazing. I love the wild beach; scarcely populated, full of shells, and sea life; birds, dolphins and crabs.
What makes this property unique
This is one of the oldest homes on the island. Don’t be turned away by the ‘old’, it is well preserved and modernized; mix of rustic contemporary. My husband’s parents lived here and left it to us to take care of it. It is build not in the traditional way, most of it is cedar and cypress. When locals come in to fix things they are floored by the woodwork (inside and out). Our kitchen and master bath is ‘deadhead’ cypress, pulled out of the Apalachicola river and preserved. Some pieces are 1,000 years old. You can go to mainland - Eastpoint and Apalachicola, you will find artists who work with this wood, making art, furniture and cabintes.
