Having island roots in the Azores, I've grown a love for island-living - having the ocean in constant view, the animals, and natural food always available gives me life. I practice Yoga, enjoy cooking, spending time with my dog, Xaila (you'll meet her during your stay), sunsets, reggae, and Spanish music, dancing, and sharing stories of wisdom and culture.
Being able to provide a safe and nourishing space here at Pure Roots through food, Yoga, connection to the people and places of these lands truly expands the love in my heart. It's my joy to share this with all who visit this vibrant island

Why they chose this property
With a love for reggae and Spanish music, Isla Bastimentos instantly pulled on my heart strings. Once I heard the music in the barriada and saw the views of the ocean and colorful houses from the hilltops I couldn't stop thinking about wanting to return - then Wizard beach completely won me over.
