Everything was just as advertised. Great location on the lake with its own private lawn and pier. Hosts were very communicative and made check in/out a breeze.

Fantastic Property & Location
This place truly was amazing. Very unique home with lots of historical character. The amenities were just as described and even more. Booking the reservation was very easy. The staff who maintain the property, Carlos and Marta, were so gracious and helpful during our stay and truly made it even more enjoyable--can't say enough about their hospitality. The view over lake was so incredible. While the weather was cold during our stay, the home was very warm and comfortable. This property is certainly worth staying at and highly recommended!

Amazing, relaxing Stay
We had an amazing vacation at this beautiful home. The house is very comfortable and spacious and the views of Lago Nahuel Huapi are breathtaking and even though the house is on a busy road, as soon as you go through the front door, you can feel peace and quiet. Having breakfast (or watching the sunset) in the indoor patio while admiring the lake view is one of the many highlights. The kitchen is like travelling back in time to a kitchen your grandmother could have had in a Ranch or an estancia. The kids (ages 5 - 12) loved playing around the grounds (hide and seek, soccer, volleyball, exploring) and we all loved fishing out of our own private pier and swimming in the lake (the water is very cold, but very refreshing). In the early evenings we would go out to the terrace overlooking the lake and sit on the wooden picnic tables and begin lighting the fire to have an "asado" (Argentine barbeque) while enjoying some mate. The groundkeepers are great people as well, very accommodating and ready to help and assist in any way. We felt so comfortable at the house that oftentimes we did not feel the need to go elsewhere. The home is very close to downtown Bariloche and many other sightseeing/activity sites.

Stunningly beautiful location and cozy, comfortable accommodations
I loved staying here at Eden Roc. Your lungs will be full of the freshest air they've ever breathed!!!! And it's on what I'd consider the "main street" there, that runs through town, so although you're definitely in an area of untouched, unspoiled beauty, you can also walk down the road and see people! It's remote but not too remote. You'll sleep really well with the windows open (when it's cool, which it often is!), and you'll love all the comforts the home affords. But sitting on the dock outside down below is downright magical. Oh, and you can easily catch a fish there in a few minutes and fry it up a few feet away in your own kitchen... we did!!!

EAT- SLEEP- STAY- REPEAT. We love exploring the world of hospitality from boutique hotels, stylish restaurants, BBQ road trips, fly fishing go entertaining Argentine Style.

Eden Roc is our special hideaway in Patagonia and love sharing the property with like minded travellers who cherish historic landmark destinations and rich culture.

No adventure is too far for us.

Why they chose this property

The log and granite Swiss chalet home were commissioned in 1938 by the famous Argentine architect, Alejandro Bustillo. Bustillo also designed the town center, the principal Cathedral, the Llao Llao Hotel, and other landmarks in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He chose Eden Roc next to the mountain backdrops and lake views to build this stunning home.

The interior is filled with skin rugs, Cypress furniture, and antiques mixed with modern-day lighting and decorative paintings. The walls are exposed stone mixed with wooden panels in the living rooms while the bedrooms are well-appointed wooden panels.

What makes this property unique

Once you enter this 2-acre property, you won't want to leave. Relax with the sound of the waves from the bedrooms and marvel at the architectural craftsmanship of the home from the 1930s.

The details of the house and property take you back in time to the Argentine aristocratic ways. The views from the windows onto the lake are breathtaking but the private beach, dock, hike around the property, and the Argentine cooking by our on-property cook are.
