Great spot! Huge house, well appointed, great yard, deck, hot tub, and fire ring by the water. So much hard work and passion evident as the owners & family have been working to restore the historic house with modern day conveniences. Ask for the tour to learn about it if you stay!

We absolutely love this house! My husband and I are history buffs and you are doing a wonderful job with this place! Everything was great. We liked being able to read a little history on the house so the table top book was lovely. We would really like to come back and stay again when the renovation is complete!

The beautiful architecture, historic details, spacious rooms, and breathtaking waterfront setting made us feel as though we had stepped back in time, but with the comforts of a wonderful getaway.There is something truly magical about enjoying your morning coffee while taking in the peaceful water views, exploring the mansion's unique character, and imagining all the memories that have been made within its walls over the years.What made this stay even more special was the opportunity to gather with family and friends, share laughter, reminisce, and create beautiful new memories together. The photos do NOT do this place justice! Sooooo romantic and absolutely gorgeous! The time period touches were on point and the restoration they've done so far is beautiful. Hot tub was FANTASTIC!!! If i could rate this place 10 stars, I would. We will definitely be back- thank you!!!!

This was absolutely one of our favorite VRBO rentals ever.... The house is so warm and inviting, tastefully decorated, and all I can say about the property is WOW.... The history and the warmth of the home made this a memory we will cherish. My wife said it was the BEST Mother's day ever. The warm glow of the fireplace at night was perfect. Walking along the river, enjoying the serenity of the place was so relaxing and peaceful. Talk about a value for your money. Thank you so much for everything, our host were extremely accommodating since we were up there working and you made our week.

More than we imagined

We were only able to stay one night, but enjoyed our time immensely. From the jaunt down to the riverside, to the last embers in the firepit, the whole evening was an enormous respite for us. Thank you for sharing this lovely place in which you have invested so much.

We couldn’t get the hot tub to heat up but the host was incredibly helpful and offered to come fix it. But we just decided to enjoy the house itself. It’s ornate and beautiful! The upstairs is not accessible but I would have loved to see the rest of that beautiful home!
