Bungalow Badamier, La Preneuse Beach

Welcome to La Preneuse and the Bungalow Badamier!

Our bungalow is located in lush, quiet surroundings in a secure residential neighbourhood of La Preneuse, far away from the main road. The covered terrace is filled with tropical plants, along with plenty of peace and quiet - a very relaxing place to have your breakfast in the morning.

We also offer you access to one of the largest and cleanest swimming pools in the world, located only 150 meters away from the bungalow. It’s called the Indian Ocean, and it's completely free of chlorinated, recirculated pool water!

All our guests benefit from free maid service, including a free laundry service. There are no hidden electricity charges or other 'optional' charges. Know exactly what you pay for before you go!

If you bring your laptop, smartphone, iPad or other device, you can connect to internet via our WiFi / wireless network. It has unlimited usage allowance, and the router supports an unlimited number of devices connected simultaneously.

There is also an internet café on Royal Road in La Preneuse, with sit down desktop computers, and there are several restaurants that offer free wireless internet access to their guests, should you wish to leave your laptop or smart phone at home.

If you want to get online from the beach, the internet service providers Emtel and Orange offer various prepaid packages for your smartphone or tablet device.

The Bungalow Badamier is licensed for rentals by the Mauritius Tourism Authority, which means that it meets all the requirements of the Government of Mauritius for short term holiday rentals, such as fire regulations for example.

Very spacious, exceptionally clean and lovely apartment. The apartment has everything needed for a lovely stay. Fantastic covered terrace ( with sitting and dining areas) a perfect place to sit both day and night - with mountain views, lovely vegetation and beautiful birdsong. Our hosts, Maryline and Jaques were warm, welcoming, friendly and helpful, but also very respectful of our privacy.

Beautiful house, very good experience

We enjoyed very much staying in this beatuful house. The furniture and decor are very nice and typical, the terrace is wonderful, perfect for having breakfast and relax moments sorrounded by many plants and a very genuine and peaceful atmosphere. The owners live downstairs and are very kind and helpful!

Home away from home

Lovely homely bungalow a short walk through the laneway to the beach. Very caring hospitality from our hosts Maryline & Jacques. Maryline cooked us a beautiful meal one evening, so delicious; thank you. The bungalow was so clean & well equipped with everything we needed for our comfort. La Preneuse was a good area; with easy access to many of the major tourist attractions, shopping centres and good restaurants. Would definitely recommend.

A really nice place

The property was easy to find, with the directions given by Joakim, & we were met by Maryline, the housekeeper, who was lovely. The property had everything we needed & was clean & comfortable. Parking is on the roadside outside, but there is a reserved parking space, & the road is quiet. The property is about 100m from La Preneuse beach. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would be happy to return when we visit Mauritius next.

One of the best guest* house i stayed at

Greatly recommend this spacious top flat with huge terrace located in m bfavorite Mauritius area. The host lives below made us feel very welcome and at the same time granted us privacy. All in all very accomodating. Beautiful public beach is near, renowned bakery for a great coffee and pains au chocolat and there are several restaurants 10 min away i would recommend. The property is spacious, clean and tidy the kitechen well equiped. If you re looking to something a bit more akin to what can be life in Mauritius this is a good address.

Wonderful place very close to the beach

Our stay was perfect from the beginning. The taxi driver for the transfer from the airport was waiting for us. Our hosts Maryline and Jacques and their wonderful son Olivier welcomed us and made us feel at home. We had fresh flowers in the living room and in the bathrooms and fresh fruits on the dinning table. The bungalow is very clean - thanks to Maryline - well equipped and spacious with a comfortable porch. Only the kitchen is a bit small. To the beach it is only a short walk, the supermarket (London Way) had everything we needed and is 5 minutes away, restaurants and the bus stop as well. Maryline and Jacques are wonderful hosts. They are very helpful, friendly and nothing is too much for them. We are two couples, so we stayed with 4 adults at Bungalow Badamier. It was great to have the two bedrooms with two bathrooms and enough space for everyone. If you look for a quiet, comfortable location near the beach with wonderful hosts - that is the place for you!

Es war eine tolle Woche, die wir hier verbracht haben. Ein toller Ausgangspunkt für viele Touren. Super nette Betreuung vor Ort, das Ehepaar ist immer bereit mit Rat und Tat zu helfen. Danke auch nochmals für die Vermittlung der tollen Delfintour. Auf der wunderschönen Terrasse haben wir sehr gern Zeit verbracht verbracht.

Wohlfühloase

Gerne schließen wir uns den vorhergehenden Bewertungen an. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und angenehm. Die sehr saubere Wohnung, die regelmäßig gereinigt wird, umfasst den gesamten ersten Stock über der Erdgeschosswohnung der Vermieter mit außenliegendem Aufgang. Die große Terrasse ist schattig und luftig, die Sonneneinstrahlung kann durch die Bastrollos gesteuert werden. Zwei Schlafräume mit ausreichend Schrankraum sowie Klimaanlage und 2 Badezimmer, kleine Küche mit allem, was man braucht, Wohn- und Esszimmer. Die Möbel auf der Terrasse sind mittlerweile (schönere) Korbmöbel und die Palme davor ist nicht mehr vorhanden. Die Wohnung hat keine eigene Waschmaschine, der Grill wird gemeinschaftlich benutzt. Die Wäsche kann problemlos der Vermieterin zum Waschen gegeben werden. Zum Strand läuft man kurz die Straße hoch und dann durch einen schmalen öffentlichen Gang, 3 Minuten Wegezeit. Vom wenig schattigen Strand hat man einen herrlichen Blick auf den Morne und die Bucht Grande Riviere Noire. Die Wohngegend ist privat und sehr angenehm, ebenso der Ort La Preneuse mit Bank, Post, Bäckerei, Supermarkt, Einkaufszentrum. In Tamarin gibt es einen gepflegten Super-U-Supermarkt. La Preneuse war für unsere Ausflüge gen Norden und die Südküste entlang mittig gelegen, so dass die Fahrtzeiten nie zu lang wurden.Unser besonderer Dank gilt Maryline und Jaques 3 für die schöne Zeit. (Joakim ist der Mittelsmann-Kontakt bei Fewo-Direkt/Arbitrel).

Winterauszeit

Paradies mit Einschränkung. Der Umgang mit der Natur ist teilweise erschreckend. Mülltrennung kaum vorhanden, überall liegt Plastikmüll rum, leider auch am Strand. In den Hotels ist natürlich alles hübsch.

Wir haben 6 Nächte im Haus verbracht und können diese Unterkunft nur wärmstens empfehlen. Die Gastgeber Maryleen und Jacques sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und die Terrasse ein Traum. Der Strand und die meisten Restaurants sind fußläufig erreichbar. Wir hatten ein Mietauto und La Preneuse ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Unternehmungen. (Wandern, Baden/Schnorcheln, Kultur)

Super séjour à La Preneuse

Bien situé pour explorer l'ouest de l'île. L'appartement est très spacieux pour nous 4 avec une superbe terrasse. La plage à 100 mètres ! Maryline est adorable et super serviable !

Wir haben eine Woche in La Preneuse verbracht und den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Der Außenbereich bietet viel Platz zum Essen und Entspannen, die Küche ist bestens ausgestattet. Maryleen und Jacques sind hervorragende Gastgeber. Wir können das Apartment nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Having managed holiday rentals for over 20 private accommodations in Mauritius, including a small hotel, during some 10 years, I believe I am entitled to say that I have solid experience in providing stellar customer service to all my guests. I want to sleep well at night, and I do that by making sure that my guests are happy, and that they get real value for money during their holiday. It really is as simple as that.

Why they chose this property

My daughter was born while staying in the Bungalow Badamier, and for this reason, the place is very special to me. It also means that I have first hand experience staying in the bungalow with children, and I feel very confident in welcoming new guests with children of all ages. We have a baby bed that you may borrow free of charge, and if you need a baby sitter we can arrange this at very moderate rates. For the older children, there is a 40 inch flatscreen television with some 30 local and international channels, making it very easy to entertain even the most demanding of children!

What makes this property unique

What makes the Bungalow Badamier special is in part its close proximity to a very secluded beach (literally less than 100 metres away), but we also think it's a big bonus that La Preneuse is one of the most affluent residential neighbourhoods in all of Mauritius. This is reflected in the many quality services provided in the area, from exquisite food to a plethora of activities, including sailing, dolphin watching, big game fishing, and many other water based activities. Welcome home!
