Spacious home 3 miles to Boyne mountain right on highway

Mountain Views Resort

Located conveniently right on main road (M 75) between Boyne Mountain (3 miles)and less than 2 miles to center of Boyne City & harbor of Lake Charlevoix. Walk to BC Lanes with live music, BC Pizza, Quick Care Medical, BC Lanes with live music, Up North Party Store, Chase Bank, and a grocery market right across the road

Main house is surrounded by an enormous garden flowers spilling over and around everywhere. The house is wrapped in a deck and surrounded in bamboo fence for shade and privacy. Some like it best of all features here.

The bonfire area are a few short steps up the mountain set in the forest amonst tall ferns. The hot tub is located behind a privacy ski fence.

Living rooms,
55” HD flat screen LED TV , Roku with Netflix, Disney plus, Amazon Prime, and Hulu , HBO. A DVD, stereo with free fast WIFI internet.

Bedrooms:
master room has a queen. Front has a king and a queen

Baths:
Large full bath with bidet and rain shower half bath on back porch

Less than 3 miles to Young's and Whiting State Parks each with beautiful beaches.

45 minutes to Mackinaw, 15 minutes to Petoskey, 25 to Charlevoix, hour to Traverse City , 30 to Gaylord

Boyne City has at least 4 city parks, very nice farmers market, A city park makes a great way to catch the sunset into Lake Charlevoix.

The whole downtown area of Boyne city is one park after another along the shores of Lake Charlevoix and the Boyne River feeding into it snakes it way through the back side of main street into the lake.

You can also walk to three small fishing decks across the highway in Boyne Aire Biz Park. Hardly anyone knows about them. Nice hike down a trail to the river bank.

Property is nestled at the base of one of the tallest mountains in the area called 'Old Maids Nipple'. The view up the mountains through the exotic swaying fern grove is breathtaking from back of the house. Gardens everywhere and solar lights abound at night to create a fairy tale space day and night.

I live in a private entrance in the lower level to keep gardens up and assure that each guests has everything they need a moments notice.

Sally's Property is great.

My husband and I stayed here with our four boys. We ALL had a good time. The boys loved the free putt putt golf and Sally had a pass to use the pool at the ski resort as well that she let the boys use. It is close to so many different great vacation attractions as well. We stayed over my birthday and Sally made me breakfast. This a great place to stay, and I cant say enough nice things about Sally. We are visiting again this year for another vacation. I cant wait.

Great time great service

Nice Location, was a short drive to everything in the area. Very chill house with big living room featuring a large TV and leather sectional sofa. Would recommend this as a place for college students and their buddies to relax at after a hard day on the slopes. Full Kitchen with everything you would need for cooking but the food. Grill and fire pit out back. Owner was nice enough to let us make a bonfire! House was very clean upon arrival. Bed where already made for us,and very comfortable. We had 7 in our group and more than enough room for us all to be comfortable and spread out.

Nicest host but not prepared in so many ways

Day before arriving I sent a note asking for key pad combo. No reply. Same day sent another and said we’d be there in a few hours. We got there. They were not expecting us for another day. Adult son of host came up, Asked us to come back in an hour or so to clean and shovel. Came back after supper. Host (and kids?) live in lower level. Asked about hot tub, they said it was only 80 deg, have to wait till tomorrow. Checked it out and hose was filling an empty tub. Tv didn’t work. Place smelled like smoke. Super nice host, she refunded and we moved on to stay in Gaylord and travel 30min each day to boyne.

Wonderful location

I stayed at Sally’s with my 2 young adult children for a few days of skiing at Boyne Mountain. Sally was a friendly and hospitable host who went out of her way to make our stay enjoyable. Her rental home was furnished with all the conveniences from soap to coffee and tea. Beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub and furnished robes. Excellent location to enjoy Boyne Mountain and Boyne City. I would recommend staying at Sally’s.

Great space

This was a great space for our family of 4. The kitchen was fully stocked and there is a good size living room with a comfy couch. The half bathroom is located outside of the main living area (off the entry way/mud room space). The hot tub is located on a small hill which makes it a bit slippery to get to/from in the winter.

This house had so many fun quirks!

The interior was so cute I loved it all! I do wish it had mentioned it was a shared hot tub but we didnt run into anyone else too much, and the hot tub and surrounding area was amazing. Had such a great time here I would definitely come back:)

Not exactly what I was expecting

The proprietor was friendly enough. We weren't aware she lived in the lower level. We were also a bit concerned by the fact that none of the doors really locked. There was a keypad entry on one door, but the lock on the sliding door didn't function so it didn't make any difference. But we didn't have any issues as the property is a bit secluded from the road. It was listed as non-smoking, but I was decidedly bothered by smoke from somewhere. It would be fine for a family, but "sleeps 10" is a bit much, one of the rooms had 4 beds in it so you have to be pretty good friends! It was clean.

Doors didn't lock & not clean

The location was good. The owner was friendly and available. The front door locked with a code however, the door from entry way to home was missing a handle, just 2 holes. The slider would not lock. The 1/2 bath is located in an unheated entry way and didn't shut. There was crusted dust on vents and hanging off fans. Lots of decor that hadn't been cleaned in some time. Coffee pot & some dishes needed to be washed before using.

Peaceful and relaxing stay

What a great location to view all the sites in Boyne City, Charlevoix, Petoskey, and so on. After zip lining and kayaking the hot tub was always such a great way to end our night, and restore our energy for the next day. We enjoyed having a fire every night as well, and looking up at the stars and all the lights Sally Jo had in the trees. Has everything you need there from cooking utensils to towels. It was an amazing stay and we will be back!

Great Stay!!

My family (5) and I stayed here for 5 days and it was the perfect location! We enjoyed being able to go to Charlevoix, Harbor Springs, Petosky, and Bellaire. We are an active family with teenagers so this was base camp for us! Sally Jo was great! She was very helpful and had many great suggestions for things to do! We were very close to a walking trail along the river and every day we walked the trail. We used her kayaks and had a great time kayaking down the river! We would come back again in the winter and ski at Boyne and stay with her. She has 2 rentals - larger one that accommodates larger parties and a smaller house that is perfect for 5.

We had a great time a great service.

Our family had a great time at Sally's. She cut flowers from her garden and really bailed us out when our rehearsal dinner was going to be rained out by allowing us to have the dinner party at the house. She even helped arrange the deck and decorated. Thank you Sally for all you you did.

Near Boyne City and Close enough to Mackinac Island

We stayed in the house which could sleep 10, so plenty of space and amenities for three travelers. There is a cottage next door. Property is located just outside Boyne City on the main road. You could hear the traffic whizzing by. Short drive into town to the public beach on Lake Charlevoix. We bought steaks at the local supermarket, grilled back at the house and ate on the covered outdoor patio. Sun rise over the mountain was beautiful the next morning. The house had a window A/C which cooled the house. The bath and a half was fine. It is an hours drive to the Mackinac Island ferries. We also drove to Petoskey and north along Lake Michigan through the Tunnel of Trees and a beach along Lake Michigan. Sally portaged us to the river and picked us up ($15/per person) to kayak. 1st time to kayak and it was fun and relaxing after the start. Staying at Sally's is reasonably price.

Unique, comfortable and convenient

Sally Jo was a very nice, easy to deal with host. The house was very clean and well stocked with home essentials. The location gave us access to everything we were looking for on our family vacation. Boyne City was a great little town, good food options (Red Mesa was excellent) and friendly people.

Great Hospitality

Owner was just great. She made sure my wife and I had everything we needed. Having the kayaks available for our use was great and her transportation to and from the Boyne River was just outstanding. The house was perfect for the two of us. Very clean and spacious. House was in great location in Boyne City, but only short drive to Petoskey, Charlevoix, etc.

Spent my first year out of college as a Chemical engineer from MTU in Chicago working for Amoco chemicals. Corporate life in the big city didn't seem to fit so off to med school with the US Army to Med in a research position. I was retired after being injured and spending three years in Walter Reed Hospital. Tired of medical world I got an associates in interior design and went on the art show curcuit literally traveling and selling my arty creation around the world.

When my son was ready to start school, I decided to settle down and got into the periphery of medicine, hired as a drug rep for Easai selling Aricept for Alzheimer's and Aciphex for GERD. Though the money was good I knew I had a calling for more meaningful approach to healing.
Back to massage school,(I know, seems like I am always in school!) The staff nicknamed me Sparky for my abundance of both healing energy and energetic personality. They recommended me to move into energy medicine and I started the 3 levels of Reiki upon graduation. I am now a third level master teacher meaning I can teach and attune others to this form of healing.

Ultimately I want to turn both houses and the therapy room to an all inclusive place where people can come for as long as they need for healing. I have 15 certifications in bodywork and have formed many working relationships with other gifted healers in the area for things outside of my specialties. That's besides the hiking trail traversing the mountain each time passing through a representative chakra area to promote awareness, balance, and healing.

Each time I rent one of my homes the $$ go to improving property and preparing to make it a place of respite and healing on all levels for those suffering.

Why they chose this property

I LOVE BOYNE. The mountain, the spa, the city, the lakes, rivers, people. It is a 4 season wonderland here. My place is conveniently located between the ski hill and the beautiful Boyne City featuring magnificent Lake Charlevoix!

What makes this property unique

The privacy: Technically located in the business park there are no residents for miles around. The business park is across the road and mostly within their large cul-de-sac and very quiet. You feel you have the whole mountain to yourself and can make as much noise as you wish, only the deer and other forest critters will hear you! The back yard is literally nestled into the base of the steep side of the mountain, sunsets over the excavated area next door are spectacular. There is a hiking path to the top.

Convenience: Right on the main road M75, Halfway between Boyne mountain skiing, spa, zipline and all the fun there ;and beautiful Boyne City cutest harbor town on beautiful Lake Charlevoix. We have won Main Street Michigan 2 years running for all the great community events and offerings. There is a grocery store right across the road. Also less than a quarter mile down the road is a BP Gas station liquor convenience store that is well stocked with many common items. BC Pizza and bc lanes right across the road from them.
