Other Things to Note:

This is an older cabin that has been re-designed and “brought back to life” in recent years. It has been well loved and well lived in. It runs on a septic tank and well water, so quick showers are highly encouraged with larger groups. (The hot water will run out if over used) Bring your own outdoor beach towels and purchase your own firewood in town if you wish to have a fire please. (if a fire ban is in effect, please don't have a fire) The backyard and firepit is practical but not "polished." The shore line has weeds and reeds and there is no dock. It is swimmable, but not cleared. The house water has iron in it, it is safe to use and drink, but we don’t recommend drinking it and it can sometimes be discoloured. Please bring your own drinking water!

If you are looking for a REAL cabin experience and want to escape the city, this is the place to be.

Wonderful place for relax

It was beautiful cabin, very clean and cozy inside. Perfect for 2 families or 1 big family. Cabin is full of the necessary things like kitchen utensils and cookware, comfy beds and welcoming living room. I was surprised with the access to lake as following map I expected 2-3 mins walk to lake. We spent great time there at the fire pit sitting at the chairs and enjoying sunset. Highly recommend if you’re looking for calm place for mentally recharging.

We have just returned form a week at this lovely little cabin. From the minute we arrived it felt like "home". The cabin is well equipped with all the essentials It is bright and welcoming yet has the feel of a rustic lake side retreat. The area is very quiet which was perfect for us. The bedrooms are big and airy with lots of space. The beds were super comfy with adequate bedding to keep you nice and warm on cooler nights. Mother Nature did not cooperate with our trip so we spent a fair bit of time indoors. The living room has a electric fireplace that brought the indoor temperature up to a comfortable level. Our daughter had to work while we were there and was very happy with the WIFI connect ability and the speed. She runs an on line class and had to trouble at all. There is a private camp ground ( Kildeer Beach) less than 2 minutes away where you can buy firewood. Their prices for wood were very reasonable in our opinion. A short ten minute drive will take you the Lac La Nonne General Store. This quaint little country store has everything that you may have forgotten or run out of. Taylor, the cabin's owner is very friendly and so so easy to deal with. Check in and out was a breeze. Our only disappointment was the lake. We understand the issues with the lake are out of the owners control. The lake is very weedy therefore, in our opinion you cannot swim in it, unless you have a boat to take you out to the middle. We would absolutely rent this cabin again.
