My worst short term rental experience
This was the worst short term rental at I've ever stayed in- Checkin - did not get checkin details until day of. They kept telling me I would get it "closer to check in" so I drove 5 hours to Atlanta wondering if I would have access to the place I paid to stay. My wife had to contact them on AirBnb since they wouldn't respond on VRBO- No information in the unit about how anything worked- No functioning wifi. Property manager said it didn't need a password, but in actuality it didn't function. Had to go to a local cafe in order to do work.- Cell phones will not work in the apartment. Only SOS. We were 3 people from 3 different states with different carriers and none of our phones worked- No hand soap anywhere- Bath towels were the size of hand towels and poor quality- Furnishing are minimal. Couch only large enough for 2 people to sit at the same time- No night tables or lamps in bedrooms- Smoke alarm went off in bedroom in the middle of the night- There was a mattress leaning up against the wall in the entry- Only provided with one key fob and it barely worked- Stairwells/hallways smell like urine and marijuana- Upon check out, I had to return the key fob. This resulted in me being unable to use the elevator to return to the parking garage. Had to walk 15 minutes through several stairwells and around the building to get back to my car. Parking is not free as advertised- Front desk staff was niceIn summary, this was an all around terrible experience.
