Tucked away on a winding, wooded drive, Matson Lake Lodge & Retreat is the perfect home base for your Northwest Wisconsin getaway! With six cozy bedrooms featuring a mix of queen, bunk, full, and twin beds, this spacious and inviting retreat offers a brilliant stay for groups of all sizes.

Enjoy the lodge's modern conveniences such as laundry room, wifi and air conditioning, PLUS a hot tub, outdoor fire pit, covered outdoor space and two large screen porches so you can enjoy the outdoors...without the bugs! The lake is perfect for swimming off the dock or diving raft and non-motorized watercraft are on site and available for use.

The lodge also has a "multi-purpose" room perfect for crafting, meetings, yoga and other retreats.

The area's multitude of lakes, rivers, snowmobile and ATV/UTV trails provide an endless supply of outdoor recreation, and you have over six private acres and 1000' of calm frontage on non-motorized Matson Lake. Museums, shops, boutiques, restaurants, wineries, breweries and other attractions in nearby Hayward, Spooner, Rice Lake, Birchwood and other charming communities beckon for you to explore them.

Return any watercraft, chairs, or other furniture that was moved to its original location
Cover, hot tub, and ensure that jets are turned off
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay. Even though it was extremely cold outside, the cabin had plenty of space for us to hang out and have a great time. The hot tub was easily the best part of the whole trip. The owner, Andrew, was also very easy to work with and made everything simple from start to finish. I would definitely consider staying here again in the future

Our family loved the property! House was perfect for our family of 18. Close to the lake. Dock was a good size for kids to fish from. Everyone enjoyed the canoe, paddle board and kayaks. No one wanted to leave!We will be back!

It was a great place with plenty of beds for a tame weekend bachelor party!

It was peaceful and quiet out in the woods, plenty of bedding options to choose from and enough tvs to keep most people entertained. A hot tub and bar areas really help you settle as well and the upstairs has plenty of space for almost any kind of game.

Property was perfect for our family/friends side by side trip. There was so much to do at the property! (swim, fish, kayak, paddle board, canoe, game room, and hot tub) Trails were really close by and made for great time riding the rigs everyday. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!

Great place with a lot of space

Tranquil environment with total privacy to take it all in. Very large home with two kitchens and lots of room to spread out. Outdoor seating areas and porches are extensive and will make many memories!

Great weekend with ample space!

We enjoyed our visit at Matson Lake Lodge! A group of 14 gals all had plenty of space to spread out, eat and play games together. We put the hot tub and fire pit to good use, and the property had plenty of space for yard games which we appreciated. The property is secluded and quiet, which was lovely. We would definitely be back!
