Staying on the Queen Mary was an anniversary surprise for my husband. He was delighted. Our room was charming. You could truly feel the history of the ship. Everything was clean & well cared for. My only disappointment was the lack of communication about an event on the parking lot. Parking was not clearly and was a bit challenging due to a carnival of sorts set up directly in front of the entrance to the Queen Mary. This meant we had to park some distance from the entrance, take an elevator up to check in, then return to out car to retrieve our luggage. The carnival was called Dark Harbor & targeted a younger demographic. The music was loud enough to be heard for hours into the night. The front desk offered to provide another room, but by the time we realized the impact to us we were fully unpacked & unwilling to spend the rest of tour evening moving. Walking the historic ship was a fantastic experience. The displays well done & very informative. I'd recommend the experience to history buffs. However, I'm not sure more than 1 night is necessary.

What an extraordinary opportunity this was! Staying on the amazing Queen Mary was all we hoped for, and more. The ongoing renovations are bringing this magnificent ship right back to her glory days. We loved every detail, and enjoyed the food at the Promenade Café, as well. We'll be back!

Although the property claims to be pet friendly, it is not. If one is staying at the hotel portion of the Queen Mary, there are limited food options, as they do not allow pets inside the restaurants. Secondly, they don't have anywhere that the pets can potty. One must exit the property walk across the large parking lot to find any natural ground. There is not one anywhere close. Secondly, they should warn guests of events prior to arrival. There were three simultaneous weddings with Extremely Loud Music and what sounded like fireworks until after midnight. This was very disruptive and frustrating as many guests were trying to sleep. There were not many alternative eating locations very close by. Although, some of the mileage distances only show two to three miles, it takes 20 minutes plus to get there. There were some nice things, like the embarkation tour which was free and very informative. The haunted tour was also very fascinating and both the tour guides were great. It was nice to get to know much of the history of the ship and the guests.
