Situated in quiet Northwest Bradenton, Lakeside Retreat not only has a beautiful view of the lake, but it has grand outdoor living areas including a screened in lanai, seperate grilling area, and a brand new pool!
The interior of the home has been decorated in a nautical chic way to make your vacation feel that much more authentic! Enjoy large TV's in every bedroom, not to mention the living room where you can come together as a family and wind the day down with popcorn and a movie. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you will ever need to create culinary delights with fresh seafood and local farm fresh fruits and veggies from the Coquina Farmers Market.
The bedrooms are sure to insure you return from your vacation fully rested. The master bedroom has a king sized, dual zone, sleep number bed! The second guest bedroom has a queen bed and the third bedroom has two XL size twin beds. An extra perk is the king and queen beds have heating pads! Your back will thank you!
Close to shopping and restaurants, Lakeside Retreat's location is hard to come by! There is WiFi throughout the home, a heated saltwater pool, and a garage for your use. If you feel adventurous, want to go for a walk, bike ride, go fishing or kayak in calm waters then Robinson Preserve, a 600+ acre nature preserve, is just a 2 minute car ride away. Probably the best part of it all though is that the beach is only 4 miles away!

The house was well stocked and comfortable. Management was easy to communicate with and quick to respond. They were very through with their instructions and guidelines and even left us a tote bag, coozies and sunglasses. Only recommendations: leave instructions on how to operate the heated mattress pads and the sleep number bed. Would also respectfully recommend newer bed pillows, a few more throw blankets, more bath towels and newer beach towels. But, all of those things are minor. The house was well decorated, the house clean, and pool heated. It was a nice relaxing week. We had some items we didn’t use during our week which we left for someone else to use. We hope to pay it forward.

Lakeside is one of the best stocked places we have ever rented in Bradenton. We loved it, plenty of towels and beach toys and chairs. They literally thought of everything.

We (my 90 yr old Dad & husband) came here while our home (also in Bradenton) was tented for termites. It is a great location & our host was always quick to respond to any issues we had, which were insignificant.

Spring Break 2024

What a blast!! The pool kept us busy, the pond kept us looking, the block patio around the pool keep us tanning, and screened in porch outside kept us all TOGETHER! For a family that has a little that wanted to swim all week long, a teenager that wanted to fish but it’s not allowed the pond is a Beaty to just sit and watch, a wife that wanted a fantastic tan and a husband who wanted to watch college basketball, THIS PLACE WAS PERFECT!

Great location for our family gathering.

Overall the home was comfortable with a nice touch of "extras" left for us (such as sunglasses that came in handy). The view from the back yard (with natural wildlife, including an otter) was great! The pool was clean and the view was lovely day and night. The area served us well for bike rides, beach and kayaking. The bedding (including the mattress covers) and linens need to be updated to clean white sheets & towels. (or bring your own).

Nice neighborhood, walking distance to lovely hikes by water

All good. Great use of space. Clean. Only issue: the master bedroom bed was terribly uncomfortable. Supposed to be sleep number air mattress, but it would deflate during night. Ended up with backside practically on floor. I’m not a heavy person, I weigh 107. Ended up sleeping on couch!

We also contacted the guests that stayed at the home after your stay, as well as current guests, but both did not experience any issues with the bed. Property is located in nice neighborhood, down the street from million dollar, waterfront homes. The house is fine, but we encountered some less than a pleasant issues. The owner showed up everyday to work on the sprinkler system, self performing - very strange. Never had this happen before and while nice enough, he kept approaching us during family time, asking if him being there was bothering us. He was harmless, but we did not get full enjoyment of the property as we had paid for. There really needs to be a rule against this, and I am shocked we never received a partial refund. I would stay away from this property for that sole reason. Also the management company had to be called to reset the pool heater, which is unacceptable in my view. Service fees were paid, but no service was rendered. Book elsewhere

We are sorry to hear that your stay was not entirely what you had hoped for. We ask our homeowners to not visit the property during a guest’s stay and they do understand such. In this instance, the lawn’s sprinkler system required a repair and because it had not rained in the weeks prior and the home consistently being booked in high season, the repair was unavoidable. The home owner had stopped by on two different occasions to make the necessary repair on the side of the home only, always asked if his presence disturbed their stay, and was never asked to leave. When we stopped by to reset the pool equipment as a result of a power outage, we too inquired and were told that the family enjoyed the stay. Power outages can happen and are outside of our control and we unfortunately fail to understand how something like that is 'unacceptable', when we addressed the issue within 30 minutes of getting the call. Displeasure or a request for refund was also never communicated to us, so we are disappointed to see such review.

Perfect home base for our vacation

Communication with Island Dreams Realty, who manages the listing, was easy and they were very responsive and helpful. Place was exactly as listed and VERY clean. Beds were fantastic. Pool was refreshing and overlooked the lake. Kitchen had all the supplies needed and plenty of plates, utensils, etc. Only small comment for improvement was some of the beach chairs and cooler were broken and need to be replaced. However I would rent this property again and would suggest it to anyone.

Perfect for Our Family of 6!

Our family of 6 (4 kids, ages 7-17) loved staying here with the highlight definitely being the pool! The kids loved being able to go right out the back door and cool off or relax anytime they wanted to. (As others may have mentioned, the salt water pool isn't salty like ocean water or chlorine-y like other pools. Perfect water!) Overlooking the lake from the pool and covered lanai, gave us great views and interactions with some wildlife like frogs, turtles, osprey, herons, ducks, etc. This house was located in a quiet neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle but was just a few minutes from the grocery store and restaurants and 10-15 minutes from the beaches on Anna Maria Island. We also did a few hikes in the local nature preserves. We really liked having the kitchen and laundry in-house to save money from eating out all the time and being able to have fresh clean clothes on our trip. The photos of this listing seemed accurate, and we were very pleased upon arrival. There seem to be lots of pool and beach toys left in the house that weren't mentioned in the listing. There are lots of other baby accessories in the house, but we didn't need those for our family. The homeowner and realty company were very responsive and handled anything that came up right away. Great communication! 10/10 - would recommend! We would definitely stay here again or wouldn't hesitate to rent from this host in the future.

Overall the place is great... no complaints... pool was amazing... nice decor, all new flooring, fresh paint and clean... plan to try and stay here again... probably one of our favorites we have rented but always room for improvement, if i owned the home, there is a few minor things i would update... like bathroom and kitchen light fixtures... the screened in porch ceiling and door

We had such an amazing time at this fantastic Rental. I can’t say enough nice things about this place. The house was super comfortable clean and inviting and tastefully decorated. The outdoor screened in sunroom was perfect. The inground pool was great. We really had a fantastic week! We will definitely come back to this same home next year! There’s no reason to look for another place.

Short drive to Anna Maria, gorgeous view, with our own pool!

We decided on this property because there wasn’t anything available on Anna Maria that wasn’t either too small or too expensive. It took only 15 min or so to get to Anna Maria, where we could park on most side streets near either beaches, pier, or shops and restaurants. But it was sometimes hard to leave this beautiful VRBO! The house is spacious, clean and comfortable. And the back yard with its’s palm trees, privacy, seating and heated pool was amazing! Loved that the pool area was not covered so we could be truly outside in the sun enjoying the view! We even saw an otter one day! The use of the garage was a plus and they also had beach chairs, and beach toys and towels for us as well! This house is in a nice quieter neighborhood and has comfortable beds as well ( I’m pretty picky on beds being too hard and these were not). Besides being close to beautiful Anna Maria Island, this house is close to other inland restaurants, shops, and grocery stores. I want to move here! 😀🌴🏖❤️

A Great Stay

This home is clean and comfortable. It’s located in a nice neighborhood and us close to grocery and restaurants. The view and the pool are spectacular! We will stay here again if we come to Bradenton again.

Cushion chairs on porch are dirty, chipped cup in cabinet, toilet handle broken, and several electrical outlets don’t work. Overall is was ok but all of these are easy fixes with a little more attention to detail and care.

Amazing place and amazing staff

This place was amazing. The house was perfect very well laid out and had good quality products for cooking. When we needed some help with some kitchen equipment in the rental place the rental owner was very understanding and sent help out to fix the issue. The neighborhood was amazing and the backyard was great to chill in and we saw a ton of wildlife (Ospreys, Egrets, Herons, River Otters and more). The Rental was also understanding and helpful when I got our last date wrong and were able to help me add an additional day down. Me and my friends highly recommend this place you can't go wrong staying here.
