Really enjoyed our stay at Fairytale A Frame! Tucked away, it offers privacy and is serene, but is also in close proximity to downtown Cincinnati and all it has to offer. Hot tub is a nice amenity. Brittany was extremely welcoming and responsive during our stay.
I was very disappointed with this experience. When we arrived we entered the property and heard loud screeching echoing throughout. There were candles burning to cover the strong odor of mold from the roof leaks and fecies from the large bird collection living in a giant cage near the kitchen. My daughter started sneezing and coughing immediately and had to wait outside while we tried to contact the owner. In fact, my whole family waited in our vehicles for several hours to stay out of the mess.I spent several hours trying to contact the owner through the app and by ringing the Ring doorbell with no reply. I spent over an hour on the phone with VRBO support trying to resolve the issue with no success. VRBO also tried to contact the homeowners unsuccessfully. I was concerned about leaving the property so called the sheriff's office and asked a deputy to walk thru to document the condition when we left so we wouldn't be blamed for any damage. There was no mention in the listing of the bird sanctuary. The corner of the giant cage was visible in one of the photos but looked like a book shelf. As of this morning, there are 3 additional photos of the cage. The property owner ended up replying to my messages after we had left to drive back home. She was very disrespectful, starting her reply with LMAO. The property owner did not agree to refund our payment.

You rang our ring camera 122 times in under an hour while we were visiting my husband's grandmother in the hospital. Then you called the police to our house. To prove you didn't damage things? There was nothing damaged. If something had been damaged, how could an officer possibly know it wasnt from you? This makes zero sense. That poor police officer thought you all were crazy. I went back and watched his reaction on the outdoor ring camera. How were you all not mortified by yourselves? Do you really think they don't have anything better to do? I have second hand embarrassment for all of you for the ridiculous way you behaved.
We lit a single candle (only 1) because I like candles. We do not have mold. Period. And yes, we have a very large aviary with 3 doves and a lovebird. It is in the sunroom that is nowhere near the kitchen, and the cages are regularly cleaned. Who hates the sound of doves? We've hosted over 160 stays on another site and have glowing reviews. Most people love the birds.
I've not added any pictures. The birds were pictured. Vrbo is aware of this since they can see every revision I make and when I make them. I guess you didn't think about that when you tried to lie. You also didn't submit anything to substantiate anything you said. Mold would be pretty easy to take a picture of. But you couldn't because as you said in your message, you needed to go home. So you desperately searched for a reason to get a refund. That's why vrbo isn't refunding you.
