This was one of our favorite places we've stayed. The house obviously has a rich history and is nearly victorian in style. High ceilings, spacious rooms, an excellent kitchen and dining room, a sun room, a lovely pond and garden... it was the kind of place you enjoy returning to and feel rested after staying. The location couldn't be better either: safe, a couple blocks from a walkable downtown, and still close enough to the freeway that it felt like an excellent jumping off point for visiting the redwoods, Ferndale, and Eureka.

This was the perfect place for our visiting family members to stay as we were several bedrooms short, 4 actually as it turned out, for the Christmas holiday. The property is a beautifully restored Victorian. They enjoyed the well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, and the attention to details. We all had a lovely Christmas brunch. Fixing mimosas , no problem champagne flutes in the cupboard!

Beautiful home in Fortuna

We rented the house for a weekend for a high school track meet. It was great to have the space for 4 adults and 4 teens. We especially appreciated the large kitchen and dining room as we prepared all of our meals at the house. The location was ideal in downtown Fortuna, close to Fortuna High School. The house was well-stocked and clean. Would definitely stay again. I would note that 2 of the beds appear to be double beds instead of Queen-sized.
