The house, renovated with original features, allows easy access to the most interesting tourist sites and Cities The house is distinguished by the simplicity of its furniture, its 'poor art', and the harmony that flows between its interior and exterior spaces. The spacious porch, furnished with a large table for 12 people, is shaded by a huge wisteria and climbing roses that run along the front and side of the house. The porch leads to the kitchen, which is also furnished with a table for 14 people, and a bright and spacious living room with a piano, tables for board games and a rocking chair to read a good book. A few steps from the porch is an inviting swimming pool where you can swim in the quiet of the morning and cool off on hot afternoons. The house has 6 bedrooms, 5 bathrooms.

Il Casale Hortensiae è stato come me lo immaginavo e anche di più: una casa da sogno sulle verdi colline laziali. E' una vecchia, grande casa ben tenuta che ti avvolge col suo calore, coi suoi ricordi, col suo buon gusto. Dalla grande cucina dal sapore campestre attrezzata di tutto punto, al signorile salotto, alle camere da letto ognuna diversa dall'altra. Ecco, il Casale Hortensiae non è un hotel, non c'è nulla di omogeneo (fors'anche di omologato a volte!), qualcosa traballa, qualcosa va messo a posto, come in una casa normale. Sì perchè entrare nel Casale Hortensiae significa entrare nel cuore di una vera famiglia, gustare, assaporare gli scorsi 30 anni in cui ci sono vissuti, sembrano ancora lì i 4 bambini divenuti uomini e la loro mamma con la sua importante famiglia belga. Fotografie a bizzeffe, ninnoli, emozionanti memorie di tutti i generi come in un bric-à-brac a 4 stelle, un tripudio di libri. Io mi sono sentito quasi un profanatore... Ma questo non mi ha impedito di gustare a pieno del posto in cui ero.
La piscina è bella (Elisabeth ha avuto un problema con un filtro appena prima che arrivassimo e ha cercato con tutta la famiglia di risolverlo all'istante), il prato in cui sorge ancora di più, con il maestoso pino marittimo in mezzo, i noci intorno e la dolce vallata lì sotto.
La casa è fresca, come lo erano le case una volta. Purtroppo il caldo oggigiorno è diventato eccessivo e anche queste case faticano a farti dormire bene, soprattutto in alcune stanze in cui non gira aria. Il mio vivo consiglio è di attrezzarle tutte con pale o ventilatori (quello immenso da noi posizionato in cucina era molto rumoroso ma ha fatto il suo dovere) se giustamente non si vuole l'aria condizionata. Elisabeth infatti è un medico olistico, vegano e la sua vita è improntata all'ecologia e perciò al minor spreco possibile di risorse (e te lo fa capire senza troppi giri di parole che tu suo ospite devi fare lo stesso!).

Merveilleux endroit au sein de la nature .
Superbe séjour au cœur de la nature !
Nous y avons été accueillies merveilleusement bien ! La patronne est très sympa, instruite et pleine de bon sens !.. nous y avons appris l’essence de la vie: le bien manger, le bien être et la sérénité au cœur de cette nature.
La cuisine est vegane et oh combien excellente !
Tout est fait maison : même la farine, le pain,les légumes et fruits du jardin, le lait d’amande etc...
C’est ici qu’on réapprend à se nourrir sainement, et à retrouver le sens des vraies valeurs!
Ni bling bling ni complication: tout est simple, sympa, convivial et surtout naturel
Je vais y envoyer mes enfants afin qu’il puissent apprécier le sens de la vraie vie autonome , saine et naturelle
