We are less than seven miles to Madison (the Wisconsin State Capitol), DeForest, Sun Prairie and Waunakee. We are 20 minutes away from the Alliant Center, Kohl's Center and Camp Randall. We are close to many excellent bike paths, the Madison Lakes, golf courses, UW and SSM Hospitals, the Palace Movie Theater, Henry Vilas FREE Zoo, Overture Center of performing arts, Casinos, grocery stores and shopping centers. We are about 40 minutes from the Wisconsin Dells Water Parks We offer easy parking right at the front door, a patio and two acres of property to walk around. Easy access from the interstate 90/94/39

Great House Near Madison

We really enjoyed our days at the beautiful guest house. This is our favorite place to stay in the Madison area. The house is very comfortable and well equipped. Barb and Butch were very welcoming.

A real home away from home

We were very pleased with this lovely property. It is exactly as shown in the photos, it was exceptionally clean and great attention to the details. They have just about everything you could possibly need and even some really nice treats like chocolates and cold waters in the fridge on your arrival. The grounds are beautiful and the location is close to so many of Madison attractions. I highly recommend this property if you are visiting the Madison area. Oh, and the owners are really personable but respectful of your privacy. You will not be sorry if you rent this property.

De Forest VRBO

We enjoyed our stay.The space was very comfortable with plenty of room.No detail was left out.Clear directions for all appliances and appurtenances as well.Communications with the property manager was excellent.Would recommend to anyone looking.

Awesome and close to freeway

Our stay was great. Close to freeway to get to Madison everyday of our stay. Kwik Trip right up the road for convenience. Would recommend for anyone looking for a place close to everything but out in the country and quiet.

This property was everything the pictures showed and more! It was clean, so well organized, and was a great location for our needs. Barb & Butch were very responsive as well. We really appreciated the water in the fridge and that everything was labeled. We will definitely be back!

I stayed at Bruce & Barb’s rental while I was in town working for a full week. The home was so beautifully decorated for the holidays, very clean and cozy. Bruce and Barb were so friendly. I do not have a single complaint! I highly recommend staying at their rental.

Excellent Place in Perfect Location

This was the cutest place and the hosts were great! Barb was super sweet and made sure we had no issues. Place is exactly like pictured and super clean. If ur heading to Madison and don’t want to stay in the city, this is the perfect place! You’re super close to the city, but you don’t have all of the traffic and noise. It’s a very peaceful place to stay!

Penn State Football Roadtrip

Traveling with friends to Madison to attend a Penn State vs Wisconsin football game we found "A touch of country country living" the perfect VRBO for our visit. Well equipped with all the essentials that made our stay comfortable. Communication with the owners was quick and they were responsive to our requests. Wonderful accommodations and nice people

The owners were very friendly and easy to work with. They put a great deal of effort into making clear instructions, including labeling wall switches for ease of use. Kitchen was well appointed and loads of room. Washer and dryer were bonuses for us as this was the last stop in our tour of WI. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect grandparenting home away from home

Barb and Butch have provided every amenity one could ask for, from an initial packet of coffee for morning #1 to just about every kitchen tool imaginable. And the location was delightful... close enough (and far enough) from Madison to make getting in and out of the city easy - and deliciously quiet at night. For us, this wonderful home-away-from-home was just the right choice, giving us plenty of time to be with our newest grandchild - as well as a little quiet time to recuperate from hanging out with a 2-year-old! Already looking forward to another visit!

Our favorite place to stay!

This is our second time staying at this property and we are already booked again for next year! The house is so clean, quiet, and cozy! My kids love it and we enjoy going to all of the playgrounds nearby and even made it to the zoo this year. The location is amazing. We cannot say enough great things about this property and the owners. Thank you again for a wonderful stay.
