About this property

Cozy cabin conveniently located for fisherman on the Green River in Wyoming

Our cabin located in Big Piney Wyoming is a large common space that is perfect for enjoying after a day of fishing in the area. Our cabin is conveniently situated perfectly between the upper green river, and the lower tailwater "fontanelle" section downstream which does not offer any nearby lodging or services. The cabin has 4 beds (queen) and a pull out futon to comfortably sleep 5 and can sleep 8 between couch and blow up mattresses provided. For fisherman tryin to enjoy all portions of the green in what is a large area with logistical issues for lodging- we are right in the center of it all to allow for you to have a short drive to the fishing both above and below the reservoir. (15-40 minutes depending on section), You will appreciate the vibe set by the large common area that feels right after a day enjoyed outdoors. Cooking appliances w grill and stove etc are all available along with other supplies to allow you to comfortably enjoy your stay and limit your reliance on limited dining options in the surrounding area.

If you’re a bunch of guys using the cabin for a place to only shower and sleep it’s ok. There was no working WiFi password, we were not able to get the TV to work, no night tables, no dressers, and the shower was very small and flimsy and was placed in an existing bathroom. The lights for both bedrooms are on the same switch so both rooms are lit or dark at the same time regardless of who is awake and who is sleeping. I also had no check in instructions all the way until I was driving there and had to contact the owner to get the entry code. If you’re expecting a typical vacation rental this is definitely not it, but if you’re adventurous and there to fish by day and party with your boys by night in the very spacious and nice living room area then this is for you. However there is ample warm water to shower and upstairs is a beautiful historic building finished completely in wood.
