This home is an architectural masterpiece with seamless and clean lines in the main living space that merges nature with interior design.Utilizing floor to ceiling glass and a 10’ by 20’ folding door opening for truly indoor/outdoor living. You will not see a house like this anywhere else in Colorado Springs. Unrestricted, dramatic views, and all of this beautiful living space within thousands of acres of hiking in open space literally right out the back door.

Relax in front of the grand fireplace in the spacious, open living room. Gather with those you love around the large dining table or whip up a delicious meal in the spacious kitchen. Feeling a bit like escaping? Retire to one of the many thoughtfully-designed and more secluded spaces in the home. Climb up to the lofted reading nook or sneak off to the deluxe master suite.

The master suite is truly its own getaway with Colorado aspens, reclaimed fir beams and vintage fixtures adorning a relaxing, beautiful space. Make yourself a cup of coffee and enjoy it in front of your private, second fireplace. Soak in the Japanese-style soaking tub in the attached bathroom or step outside through your private sliding glass doors and enjoy the incredible Cheyenne Canyon beauty from your 6 person hot tub.

For the little ones, a kids' suite, designed entirely with them in mind: lofted beds to sleep 5, kid lounging and TV area, books, games and their own bath and shower.

This house offers the best of Colorado living. Enjoy the absolutely incredible views from the 1200sqft wrap around deck with outdoor kitchen and grill, and if you want to get out into the nature that surrounds you, hike on the trails leading from the back door or go down the hill about a half mile to Stratton open space and hike or mountain bike that extensive trail system. Whatever you chose to do, this house delivers.

BEEEUTIFUL, SUPER COMFORTABLE HOUSE W/SPECTACULAR VIEWS!
We were a group of 7 adults (multi-generational) and we all really had a good time at this house. The great room is very welcoming, the kitchen is clean and very well equipped, all the bedrooms were super comfortable, clean and welcoming....everything in the house had been carefully selected and was of good quality. The surprize feature was the wonderful upper patio which had plenty of lounging furniture and the most stupendous views! There are incredible, easy hikes around the house, and it's just minutes away from shopping. Would we return - yes we would!

As the homeowners, Ryan and Elisha Whitten, of The Cañon Retreat Vacation Home, we are excited to share the comforts of our home with you. As a family of five with 3 creative and energetic children, we enjoy exploring the world and doing so by bicycle! 2008 was the first year we decided to explore as a family through Asia for 6 months, from Singapore to China. Ryan was raised by a master carpenter and now is a master in carpentry himself. You can see his fine work throughout our entire home, from the large dinning wood table, to wood counter tops ....even the master bed frame was designed and built specifically for this Cañon Retreat!

We look forward to speaking with you and having you as a guest! When you contact us, you may hear from Ryan or Elisha directly or from Tom & Amy Roemer, the property managers.

Why they chose this property

This property is magical. When we first came across it about 5 years ago, we saw so much potential. Ryan has such an eye for design and knew working with the large timber beams in the great room, this place would be a real treasure! Backing up to open space and trails...anyone can see why we jumped to the opportunity!

What makes this property unique

Unique benefits? There are so many! Imagine a private hot tub and Japanese tub! Really fun features for kids like a cool ladder to the loft. Honestly, in the great room, you really feel connected to nature with the dramatic floor to ceiling windows and wide-opening patio doors to the wrap around deck and incredible views of mountains and cañon.
