This was a family summer cottage originally built in 1952. I spent most summers here growing up: swimming, boating, fishing, berry picking, playing with cousins and being in the great Maine woods. Being here was a time I have always cherished. As an adult with a busy life, the cottage has been ignored. Five years ago, my husband and I decided to do a complete renovation, tearing off the roof, adding a second story, new windows, new kitchen, bathrooms, etc. We totally gutted the old cottage, insulated, redid everything and added new deck and new docks. We now have a place to share with our families for many more years to come. Next door to my cottage is another house, once my parents retirement home and now owned by my brother. This area has become a place where I connect with family, relax and reflect on how fortunate I am to have such a beautiful spot to enjoy. I hope that if you decide to visit, you will also respect and enjoy this lovely area of Maine.

Fortunately for us and visitors, Bethel's ski area, Sunday River, has expanded greatly over the past 20 years. The result of that expansion has given the area lots of new good restaurants, new shops & galleries, and year round recreation activities. Also, in Oxford, there is a fairly new casino located about 15 miles from our property.
