Our property is a split level community gem nestled in urban Nassau with a view of the iconic Water Tower. Appreciated by our guest for its awesome location just a few minutes’ walk or ride to Nassau’s ‘best attractions'. Our property is well designed and meticulously decorated by us. It’s a new building mirroring classic Colonial style charms such as large porches for enjoying outdoor relaxing and feeling the cool island breeze and warm sunlight. Our one bedroom cozy apartments are all fully equipped and designed to make vacationing on a budget feel like luxury living. Each apartment is air conditioned with tiled floors, with separate tastefully designed bedroom and bath, modern kitchen appliances, living and dining. Each apartment has a different theme design to create the right mood during your stay. The large windows are fantastic for allowing sunlight to filter throughout the rooms from morning till sunset. This makes each apartment feel warm and comfortable during any season.

The community is a quiet residential and commercial area nestled in urban Nassau. This community embodies the Bahamian identity and culture and uncovers the repertoire images created by the Ministry of Tourism. What you’ll see during your stay, school children walking to and from school, families walking to church and local Bahamian owned businesses. This community also host home of Roots Junkanoo Shack (Iconic culture building), St. Francis Cathedral, Government House, US Embassy, University of The Bahamas, Greek Orthodox, British Colonial Hilton, Long Warf Beach and Down Town Nassau just to name a few. Good safe spot to stay for a good price. A few convenience stores around. Takes about 10 to 15 min walk to town. Trevor is a good host, helps when needed. Had a nice comfortable stay. Definitely check out junkanoo if around when it happens.

Quiet neighborhood in walking distance to center of town. Close to grocery store, pharmacies and to main arteries for taking public transportation for larger trips.We felt safe in this neighborhood.Host always available for advice. Excellent value.

The property is appropriate to the cost. Host are exceptionally accommodating. Idea for short stay, price accommodating for long stays but night walking not recommended.

Cute place but scary neighborhood

As we were driving to the property from the airport, my sister and I grew more uncomfortable with the neighborhood we were driving through. We arrived and within 15 minutes, we decided that we didn't feel safe and explained to Trevor. Also concerning was that only the bedroom was air conditioned with a small wall unit. Still, this was an irrelevant issues since we had already decided not to stay. Several days ago I asked Trevor for a refund for the 2nd and 3rd nights plus return of the damage deposit. Trevor was not interested in discussion and accused me of trying to extort a refund. This was, unfortunately, my first experience with Homeaway.

Nice owner horrible location

When we arrived at the airport, the owner of the house kindly came to pick us up, but on the way to the accommodation, he charged us 35 for the ride. Once we got to the apartment, the bed had clean sheets, but the bathroom floor was dirty, with lot of hair on the floor, and there was no shampoo, shower gel, or hand soap provided. Additionally, some of the photos we had seen online didn’t match the actual accommodation, especially the bathroom area. The owner was friendly and “offered” to help us with anything we might need, but once we stepped outside, we understood why.The neighborhood was very local, but to our surprise, many houses were in poor condition, half-ruined, and lacking paint. What we disliked the most was the path from the accommodation to the beaches or the center of the island. The streets were dangerous for pedestrians — stray, hungry dogs roamed freely, there were no sidewalks to walk on, and cars and motorbikes sped past us, making it quite hazardous. At one point, a woman in a car stopped to ask if we needed a ride somewhere. When we declined, she replied, “Okay, then try to be safe,” which only added to our discomfort.When we finally got to the beach where all the resorts were, we understood why most tourists chose to stay there. After visiting the beaches we wanted to come home but we were so scared about or way that we called the owner. Then, we got anxiety and discomfort that we took a flight home. Then the owner didn’t give back our money

Trevor and Sasha were amazing hosts that really wanted us to have an amazing stay. They even drove us to a couple different places so we wouldn't have to pay for a taxi. The only thing that I didn't like is that only the first roll of toilet paper was provided. Other than that, the stay was perfect.
