Heidi, you booked more nights while you were already there, and that says everything! Having you love Chillin Away at Bass Lake Indiana so much that you extended on the spot genuinely made our day. That peaceful lakefront energy is exactly what we hoped guests would feel, and it means so much that it delivered for you again. We cannot wait to welcome you back! Ana & Adam

What a privilege to host your family at Chillin Away at Bass Lake Indiana for such a special occasion! A niece's graduation is worth crossing the country for, and we are so glad this lakefront cottage gave you a comfortable, memory-filled home base for the celebration. Even on a quick trip, it sounds like the lake worked its magic, and we are thrilled the cleanliness and amenities made everything easy. Thank you for the kind words about communication too. A 45-year Culver reunion is the kind of thing you plan for months, and we're so glad Chillin Away at Bass Lake Indiana could be part of it! Knowing the cottage felt like a home base for your group was exactly what we were hoping for. We love that the dock, kayaks, and bikes got some use, and that everything felt well stocked when you arrived. Being just a short drive from Culver Academies makes for an easy gathering, and Bass Lake is a pretty hard backdrop to beat. We'd be honored to be your spot for the next reunion too!

We absolutely loved our stay! The place was charming and had everything you need for a relaxing weekend in the lake. Our family thoroughly enjoyed kayaking, biking, playing lawn games, and making cotton candy! The sunroom was great for reading with the lake view. The outdoor fire pit was perfect for making s'mores in the evening. We can't wait to be back!

The cotton candy detail made us smile! We love that your family found a full rhythm at Chillin Away at Bass Lake Indiana, from kayaking and biking in the morning to lawn games and s'mores by the fire pit in the evening. And the sunroom with that lake view for reading? That is exactly what we designed it for. Knowing everyone found something to love is the best possible outcome for a weekend stay. Bass Lake has a way of fitting whatever pace a family needs, and it sounds like yours hit the sweet spot perfectly. We are already looking forward to your return visit!

Carol, we are so glad the timing worked out for your Culver Academy visit and that Chillin Away at Bass Lake Indiana could be your home base for it! The campus is beautiful and we love when Bass Lake provides a peaceful retreat in between all the activity. The enclosed porch is one of our favorites too. And Bass Lake in summer with a longer stay is on a completely different level; we would love to have you back when the water is warm and you can fully soak everything in. Hope the campus tour was everything you hoped for! Ana & Adam

Great lakeside cottage with dock

We were delighted with the style, decor and location of this lakeside cottage. There are fun items for play - bikes, games, paddle boards… The warm, shallow lake is a treat. Loved the seating on the property’s own dock, too.

we loved the house. decor and finishes were very nice new and attractive. this worked out week for our stay to visit family. the only shortcomings we witnessed were not having a dishwasher and the faucet in the bathroom sprayed all over you every time you used it. otherwise, it was a very nice place for a young/small family or a couple.

Love the view

It’s a great place for little getaway. Our family enjoyed our stay at this property. The kids and I had a great time together kayaking and swimming in the lake, my parents got to fish at the private pier during our stay as well. this is my first time visiting Knox, It’s very quiet and slow, and I love it! The host is very sweet and always responds fast. We are definitely coming back.

Absolutely Perfect Stay!

Our experience at this lovely place was just what our family needed! Everything was exactly as described - maybe better! The home was spotless and beautifully decorated. The location was ideal - peaceful and quiet, with a lovely patio and pier all our own. We kayaked, went paddle boarding and biking. We played lots of cornhole and had dinner at the Woodshed Tap on Bass Lake - rustic, but the food was great! We've stayed in many vacation rentals, and this one stands out for its attention to detail, comfort, and responsive hosts! We'll be back!
