Host was easy to communicate with. The place is spacious, clean and we loved the decoration around the house. Close to bus stop. Thought the neighbor hood was not what we expected (a bit scary going back late night)Over all, we had a great time.
Such a cute spot. Home has historic charm and has been lovingly maintained. Mr Andre was so quick to respond even when my lack of planning had me texting late in the evening. Would definitely stay again.
Andre was super friendly and welcoming! We ended up booking this super last minute because of a family funeral that we had to attend, and it ended up being an awesome spot. The rental was clean and spacious and had everything we needed. The reclining sofa and chairs were so comfy. There was a ton of cool artwork throughout the inside of the house. I'm shocked that no one mentioned in previous reviews that there is a koi pond in the front yard!! If the weather hadn't been so drizzly and we were there longer, we would've loved to have utilized the outdoor space more. We had our 2 dogs with us and found the neighborhood to be great for walking them. The outside storm door and the inside door each had a knob lock and a deadbolt (so 4 locks total) so we felt very safe while there. We'd stay there again if we're ever back in that area!

Andre’ was very nice! The home has some stunning features and in a quiet neighborhood. Pros:Pet friendly, beautiful artwork in the home, very nice furniture throughout the home. We felt safe with our little family and dog walking in the neighborhood. There is very little grass at this property, but plenty of sidewalks to walk dogs with grass. Everyone we spoke to was very nice. There is a metro stop close by! Cons:If staying during hot summer months, the AC upstairs in the bedrooms is limited. I would bring a fan for each room. At night sometimes it would reach 75-77 degrees. The AC thermostat is locked downstairs and it cannot be adjusted. The upstairs shower in the master bedroom drain does not work very well. This leaves water all over the floors and rugs when you shower in there. The downstairs shower only has one temperature and it is very very hot. There is no plug for the upstairs bath tub. The bedrooms do not have blackout curtains. Especially the secondary bedroom (the curtains are white lace and very see through). The pond in the front doesn’t have fish in it. Overall we had a great stay and would stay again!
Overall, we had a pretty good stay at the apartment in Washington, DC. The apartment was nice, and the kitchen was adequate, but I do think the kitchen could use some updating. The biggest issue was the cooking utensils, pots, and pans. There weren't enough proper utensils to comfortably prepare meals, and the pots and pans could definitely use an upgrade. Not everyone staying in an apartment wants to eat out for every meal, so having a well-equipped kitchen is important.I also noticed that the silverware seemed to be more suited for children. It would be helpful to have regular-sized silverware for adults as well as appropriate utensils for children.Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but updating the kitchen supplies—especially the pots, pans, cooking utensils, coffe cups, and silverware—would make the apartment much more comfortable and convenient for future guests.Thank you so much!
