About the host
Hosted by Paolo Ceri

Hi there! My name is Paolo. I live in Milan together with my wife Alina and our two little boys.
I am a data analyst and a math teacher who loves sports, nature and hiking. Alina is a visual designer, who adores house organization, handmade and crafts. Living in different countries and having completely different hobbies, we probably would never have met. Fortunately our paths crossed thanks to our common passion for traveling, exploring different cultures and meeting people.
We visited a lot of countries together and we stayed in different places. Then finally in 2015 we decided to go backstage and to become hosts. Our goal was to create a perfect place that would meet all the demands and desires of the avid travelers like us. And this is how we found an activity where our interests and strengths with Alina complement each other, and that gives us as much pleasure as traveling ourselves.
Together we work as a team. I am the one who takes care of your needs during the trip and makes sure your stay is easy and unforgettable. As a native citizen I am always happy to share some tips and recommendations about local life. Alina, on the other hand, is the one who creates for you a home away from home. A clean, cozy and comfortable place, where you can unwind and relax after a busy day.
We love to see our Guests enjoying their stay and creating happy memories about Italy. Being a part of this experience is our favorite part of hosting!

Why they chose this property
Porta Venezia is an essential stop for anyone exploring Milan, Italy. This iconic historical site, known for its fascinating blend of rich history, vibrant culture, and architectural beauty, attracts numerous visitors each year. Originally named Porta Orientale, the gate served as a critical entry point to Milan from the east during the Roman era. Over the centuries, it has undergone several transformations, reflecting Milan’s evolving political and cultural landscape.

The surrounding area is home to several significant cultural institutions, such as the Museo Civico di Storia Naturale and the Galleria d’Arte Moderna. The neighborhood also boasts an eclectic mix of shops, restaurants, and annual events like the Milano Pride parade, making it a lively destination for both locals and tourists.
For those planning to visit, Porta Venezia offers a plethora of attractions, including the Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli, the Villa Reale, and the historic Casa Museo Boschi Di Stefano. The area is easily accessible by public transportation, making it convenient for visitors to explore its many offerings.
