Quaint bayside bungalow
Nice quiet out of the way place right on the water. The house had everything we needed for the week. I would have liked a medium size sauce pan for pasta but that's just me. Many sized pots available for cooking and frying. Sea glass aplenty just wait for low tide and explore. During our stay we saw Eagles, otters, crabs, American Oyster Catcher, turtles in the water and babies on the beach. We enjoyed fires by the water and watched the stars. Would definitely rent this house again.

Beautiful Escape
Loved our family getaway. We used this bay spot as an anchor during our trip to south Jersey. The private beach was spectacular and our kids and Labrador loved exploring the property. For those favored by mosquitos, this location may be a challenge. Also, the shower situation for little ones wasn’t ideal but it was our error in not taking it into consideration.

Quiet Family Vacation August 2022
The location was beautiful. It was very secluded, disconnected (literally-there was no WiFi and very little service, which we enjoyed) and peaceful, completely different than what we are used to and a very welcome change. The house was just the right size for the 4 of us(bunk beds and queen bed in one room and queen and twin in the other) Wow what a view! Every window you looked out of you just saw nature at its finest. We saw eagles and hawks and lots of baby turtles. The kayaks provided were lots of fun. My boys used them every single day. The bay was clean and definitely swimmable. My dog loved the private beach she had all to herself. The only "issue" was the biting flies, it's not anyone's fault but they did get a little overwhelming, especially around 2 pm at high tide. Strongly suggest you do your research on sprays or ways to try to keep them away before vacationing in this area in the summer.

About the host

Hosted by Bill or Kristin Stewart

Host profile image
Bill Stewart fell in love with the Delaware Bay, after his father purchased the property in the 1960's. After his service in the US Coast Guard, he made he way back up to the PA/Jersey area where he settled to raise his family. Considering his background, he was quite at home enjoying the vast variety of wildlife, fishing, boating, and many other water sports here at Dyers cove. He'd give you the shirt off his back, and is one of the most kind loyal and humans on this planet. Just ask his 3 neighbors here at the cove :)

Why they chose this property

Wildlife and the old Indian Grounds. Arrowheads and other historical artifacts spread across the property and the point.
