Clean room in a charming old building. It was slightly smaller than I expected, but had everything that I needed. Great location near the convention center and waterfront. Not really any storage, so if you're here for a couple days it's hard to unpack. No real complaints though, responsive hosts and I would stay there again.

The room was small which was fine, but for the price I would’ve expected more care to go into the room. One of the windows had a crack across the entire pane. The portable air conditioner wasn’t properly connected, they put a hose connection from a different machine on the back of it, so most of the hot air was blowing out of the back of the machine into the room. The window coverings weren’t modified to account for an AC so they couldn’t go down properly and the window was never fully covered. The fan in the bathroom wasn’t working- you had to keep the door open to shower or wipe everything down afterwards. With the extra tourist fees we ended up paying over 400 per night, so in context these issues were very frustrating and impacted our stay.

The hosts, Lane and Tristan, were very welcoming and nice. Our room was small and the bathroom was a good size. Both were clean and tidy. Wish there was more counter space in the bathroom for our toiletries. We used the coffee making as the host gave us some new coffee to try. Coffee was good but wish there was a filter to use with the maker. It was too difficult to clean out without creating a mess or potentially clog the drain. It was very quiet and convenient to the waterfront. The two power bars were almost full, bit of a potential hazard. Had to make coffee in the washroom with the smallest of counter space available.

This is a fantastic place to stay. It is in a heritage listed building across the street from the governor general's residence. It is walking distance from the harbour, shopping, and the Halifax Public Gardens. It has an excellent refreshment station. It does not have space for in room dining though.
