The peaceful oasis that is the Perdue Farm house is surrounded by beautiful views and rolling fields on one of the area's oldest continuously-operating family farms.
Located 45 miles north of Nashville and 20 miles south of Bowling Green (Western Kentucky U and the National Corvette Museum), it's perfect as a base for a Girlfriends' Weekend or for visiting family in the Portland area.
In fact, this house is perfect for a retreat of ANY kind: starting or finishing your book, connecting with nature, stepping off the treadmill of modern life, escaping the hustle and bustle of the city, or rekindling romance for couples. The jetted whirlpool tub increases the relaxation factor. Most guests report the peacefulness of watching the deer families loping across the fields at twilight or dawn; others love sitting on the deck with their morning cuppa, listening to the birds chirp and trill in the maple and plum trees. And the big sky! It produces beautiful dawns and magnificent sunsets. Scattered across the night sky are so many stars, plus a clear view of moonrises and moonsets. Come see for yourself!

About the host
Hosted by Property Manager/Owner
I grew up in Indianapolis. However, my father and his father - on back to the mid-1850s - were born and raised on this farm. Travel, photography, houses and this farm are some of my passions. California has been my home for over 30 years, but I come back here as often as I can. I love that VRBO gives me a way to support this house, yet block out time for myself and my family to enjoy it as well. Animals are also a passion - I have Valentina, a German shepherd who's 9; Frances, a 15-year-old calico cat that my previous German shepherd Cheechoo and I rescued as an abandoned kitten.
Why they chose this property
This is part of my 200-year-old family farm that I inherited from my mother when she passed back in 2005.
What makes this property unique
This is a peaceful property, surrounded by crop fields and woods. The house is light and bright and spacious. Based on guest reviews, I'd say the house is welcoming to everyone. This was the dream house for my mother and father...I think they'd be pleased that it provides an oasis of peace and quiet for our great guests!
