Overall clean & tidy space. Location was good and the view was great! It would have helped having extra paper products stocked for the duration so we didn’t have to purchase additional.
Amazing location in Egg Harbor. Very close to everything and pictures listed were exactly what we got. Only way to make it better is if the internet was consistent and air conditioning was central versus window units. Hosts were incredibly responsive.
This house was exactly what we were looking for! We had 6 adults and two large dogs staying at the house. The property was spacious and it never felt crowded our entire state. Highly recommend staying here if you have a large group and dogs!
This four bedroom property was a great accommodation for myself, and my three daughters and 2 PWD dogs.we saw deer every morning and a great view of the water. Very clean!
Would highly recommend
Family friendly, beautiful location and quiet. Reasonable for the price. Easy to communicate with the hosts. Had to ask for additional blankets, and they were delivered within hours. Internet was available but it wasn’t always working properly. If you need a soft bed, however, you may want to bring your own pillow top. While it’s not home, we made memories with family, and made the best of it. Hot water and plumbing that worked. A full size fridge along with a clean working oven! No whole house a/c but luckily it cooled off at night. There was an a/c unit in one of the bedrooms.
The property was not fancy, but it was clean and equipped for a small group to stay comfortably. You could see Green Bay from the screened porch, and we saw deer daily. It was a great neighborhood for walking. The few minor issues we had (e.g., a broken toaster) were addressed immediately. The location of the house made it easy to visit all the nearby towns for shopping, dining, etc.
Great house that reminded us of grandmas house. Nice view of the water. Great breeze on the porch. There are window air conditioners that really helped on the one hot day, otherwise there was always a nice breeze. Emily always responded super quick if I had any questions.
3 couples spent the week in this older home. It worked out well for us, but we did 100% of the cooking on a Blackstone Griddle. Owners are very friendly, and we had deer every evening around 5:00! Great central location for All of Door County. We would recommend this home.
It could use some uniform lighting as the house is very low light at night. Bring 3 prong adapter as the outlets are the old two prong type. A fire pit would also be nice to use!
This property is immaculately clean and is well located. There is a water view and it's right next to the golf course clubhouse. There is now newer furniture and TV than is pictured here. The sofa and chairs are very comfortable and the cable and wifi worked well, which was helpful with 3 teenagers and the olympics happening. There is a window unit AC in the living room area that works very well for the living room/dining room. The LR/DR are bright and sunny and most pleasant. The kitchen is definitely not a place for you if you love cooking. It is hot and poorly laid out. The dishes, cooking utensils etc are ancient. No coffee mugs... just tiny old cups. There is a dishwasher that works well now. There is NO salt/pepper, paper towels or any of the basics beyond dish soap and dishwasher soap. You will need to purchase or bring everything. One bedroom upstairs has a window AC that makes the room livable. One bedroom has a box fan that dances and rattles and the third bedroom is just hot. Imagine going to your grandmas house in 1964. This place is very livable, but is very much like going back in time. The hosts were very responsive and one of them even dropped off a blowdryer for me to use, which was GREATLY appreciated. Also, there are only 3 prong grounded outlets in the bathrooms. If you have 3 pronged charging stations, your electronics will all have to charge on the back of the toilets. Just be aware what you are going into. If you don't have expectations of luxury, you will love it here.
This property was very clean, spacious with older furniture but it's comfortable. Home is older, but has good water pressure in the showers. 2nd floor has two queen bed rooms and 1 twin/trundle. First floor has one bedroom with 2 single beds. I believe there are 14? stairs to get to 2nd floor, which could be difficult for an older adult getting to the 2nd floor queen bed rooms.
Beautiful partial view of the bay from the dining room area.
Owners are very responsive to phone calls if needed & answered all my questions prior to our visit.
Overall, nice place for our visit on Pumpkin Patch weekend.
Recommend this location!
It was a very roomy house. Owners were very accommodating and easy to get ahold of if needed. Maybe put a little bit more info in the book on dining room table that says: "check in process; check out process; (what to do with sheets; towels, etc) local grocery stores; wineries; POI; trails; etc". Otherwise, everything was to our liking and plenty of room in garage and driveway to accommodate all the motorcycles.
This property was everything claimed. Immaculately clean. Older property but well maintained. Some minor issues as expected with an older home but perfect location.
House was a bit worn, but it was clean. Location was good, close to main drag of Egg Harbor

It was basic and just ok.
The house advertised that there was air conditioning, but that just means there is a window unit in the living room downstairs. The bedrooms are upstairs and it was hotter upstairs than outside. Super uncomfortable to sleep in that heat. There were no fans available. The air conditioning unit also dropped A LOT of water on the carpet downstairs and we couldn’t constantly run it because it would have ruined the floor and window.

yep...it's old
If you're considering this property, there's a few things you should know up front.....They say that there's air conditioning on the web page....there's a window unit in the dining room area, but there's none anywhere you sleep and upstairs gets super hot. With windows open ,there's very little if any airflow. (secret -keep all bedroom doors open and bring supplemental cooling with you...seriously). Everyone was worried about ghosts after seeing the place, but we soon realized there were absolutely no "cold spots" anywhere.
They say that there's internet / WiFi....it's ONLY at the main lodge area...not the houses. (don't travel with 5 teenagers like we did EVER if there's no WiFi). Supplies / towels / toilet paper / soaps / etc are almost provided. You'll have to request them from the lodge down the road...and tell your kids to flush often. Toilets plug fast. Know where the plunger is.
The TV kinda works if you can figure out the remotes and necessary input signals for a weak Direct TV signal. If you're cooking there, which we did often, know that pots, pans, and silverware are beyond ancient and VERY limited. The dishwasher kinda worked but was noisy and took all day to complete a cycle. Also note that there is no washer / dryer and the furniture is far worse in person than in the pictures. Last note...if you bring a dog and leave the leash outside, the landscaper will drive over it with the mower. (yep...didn't even care)
For positives....the beds were comfortable (when you're not sweating). Location is great across from the golf course and lake. You're very close to downtown Egg Harbor.

Perfect for a large family vacation
My family has stayed at this house several times in the last 10 years. Very roomy, perfect for my family of seven. Large yard area were we play horseshoes, badminton, soccer, frisbee. Our dog thinks it's great. Well-maintained and clean every time we've stayed here. Beautiful porch with waterview. Happy with the owners as well. If we need anything, they are quick to provide. Highly recommended by the Menger family.

Great house with great location
My family rented this house for a weekend last fall for the second time. The house was very spacious, very clean and has a great location, one mile from the village. We were able to use the amenities of the Alpine Resort which was great for my kids. The house is located across the street from their golf course which was great for me and my husband. The house has a large lawn and is across the street from the water. The staff/renter were very helpful in giving us suggestions and answering our questions. We will go back to this location and recommend it to others.

A big disappointment
We rented this home for a week in 2014. we expected old but did not expect dirty and poorly maintained. It was both. all the furniture is very old and there is no comfortable place to sit. the whole house was musty and had not been used for some period of time. we had to clean several cobwebs out on the first day we arrived.
the house is well located and the appliances newer than the furniture and generally worked well. the people at the resort are, at best, indifferent and sometimes rude. Throughout our stay, we had interaction with several resort employees and no one ever asked how our stay was going. I suspect they are afraid of the answer to that question so they don't ask.
the final straw was that we paid a large deposit and then paid the full balance due with a credit card at time of check-in. all other charges we either paid in cash or put on a separate credit card. the day after we checked out, they charged our check-in credit card for over $150 dollars with no explanation. I called to complain and they finally refunded a large part (but not all) of the charge. They would not tell me the reason for the charge. If you deal with them I would suggest caution.

About the host
Hosted by Cindy Livingston or Emily Pitchford
I was born and raised in Egg Harbor, Door County, Wisconsin. I went to grade school in Egg Harbor (the current location of the Egg Harbor Fire Dept.) and attended junior high and high school at Gibraltar H.S. in Fish Creek, 5 minutes north of Egg Harbor. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin in Madison and have been involved in a family business my entire life--the Alpine Resort and Golf Course in Egg Harbor. We sold the business after 100 years to a new owner. We continue to rent our eight vacation houses in Egg Harbor seasonally. I have two adult sons and I live in Sturgeon Bay, about 20 minutes south of Egg Harbor. Door County has been a great place to grow up and live and I'm blessed to have the opportunity to remain here on this beautiful peninsula. I love to swim and boat and fish in the summer. And I enjoy skiing and ice fishing in the winter.
Why they chose this property
Glenwood house has been in our family from the beginning. It's close to all the great things Egg Harbor (and Door County) has to offer. It's only available for vacations in the spring, summer and fall. My family is very protective of this house and keep it clean and well maintained.
What makes this property unique
Glenwood is across Horseshoe Bay Road from the water, and it's just a short walk to the Egg Harbor beach. The bay is beautiful for swimming in the summer and early fall. The house has a nice lawn area to play badminton and horseshoes and football, it has a great porch and it's quite roomy. It's also easy to walk into the central part of the village of Egg Harbor to visit shops, listen to music, go to the grocery store and fish at the marina.
