Orchid Cottage - Colorful Bahamian Cottage Steps from Pink Sand Beach

Orchid Cottage is a fully air conditioned, bright and lovely Bahamian cottage, on Old Banks Road steps from the Atlantic Ocean beach. It is surrounded by swaying palm trees, beautiful foliage, and tropical flowers. Walk three minutes from the front deck and a magnificent ocean view unfolds.

Upon arrival, our property managers will meet you at the Banana Beach Estates gate. You will be greeted with complimentary Bahamian drinks and appetizers. Our staff is utterly lovely, and they make every effort to make sure you are well taken care of.

The open concept living room, dining room, and kitchen areas allow your entire group to interact during cooking, eating, and family activities. The turquoise and pineapple accents bring a coastal feel to the cottage. The kitchen is equipped with everything you will need to prepare your meals and it offers the convenience of a washing machine. The cathedral ceiling gives the cottage an airy feeling. Enjoy the Smart TV with access to your Netflix account or use our Fire Stick with numerous international and local channels as well as FREE Pay Per View movies. Connect to the web by way of free internet.

One bedroom has a queen bed and the second has a king bed, that can be converted into two twin beds. The entire cottage is equipped with ceiling fans along with a/c units in the bedrooms & loft. Beautiful linens, bath towels, and beach towels have been carefully selected to make your stay comfortable. Between the two bedrooms is a coastal three-piece bathroom. The large walk-in shower has sea glass, shells, and pebbles from the Atlantic Ocean embedded in the floor. An additional shower is located outside by the deck.

Enjoy relaxing on the outdoor sectional, drink your morning coffee or sip on an island cocktail, as you listen to the ocean's waves lapping on the shore. In the evenings, the deck is a terrific location to gaze at the infinite numbers of stars in the dark Eleuthera sky. The charcoal grill can be used to prepare the most delicious fresh fish, as the kids play on the grass, or family members take a wonderful walk along our cottage road. Enjoy the tropical location of Old Banks Road, get away from the crowds, and marvel at the variety of tropical flora and fauna.

A short walk along the path takes you to one of the most amazing, pink sand beaches in the world. Bring along the beach chairs and a cooler to enjoy hours and hours of fun. Your first sighting of the turquoise waters of the Atlantic Ocean will take your breath away. This incredible beach can be traveled for miles. Spend your day tanning, shelling, wading by the reef, snorkeling, watching the dolphins, boogie boarding, or building sandcastles. A short drive away is French Leave Beach, Twin Coves, the Naval Beach, and the calm waters of Cocodimama. The choices are endless.

Plus, you are only a short walk from Sky Beach Club, with Pascal's Restaurant, Sammy's swim-up bar, oceanfront infinity pool, hot tub, and resort amenities. And Orchid Cottage is only a few minutes' drive from the lovely town of Governor's Harbour, with its century homes, restaurants, stores, and library.

If you require more space, our three-bedroom house (Shangri-La) is also available. It has an open concept design with soaring ceilings and is located a short distance from Orchid Cottage. Each property offers nice privacy, with large palm trees and foliage between the two. Shangri-La and Orchid Cottage would allow your large group extended space and privacy.
