Incredible property

I would highly recommend staying at this property. The location, view, amenities were all over the top. Our group of 13 had a wonderful Christmas holiday at this house and the guest house. There was room enough for us to spread out or to congregate as a group. The hot tub was so nice in this snowy winter wonderland. Nice trail around the property for x-country skiing. Beds were comfortable, both homes were extremely clean, well maintained and had high end furnishings. I have stayed at many vacation rentals and this one surpassed my expectations. Dean, the caretaker, met us on arrival, he was so friendly and informative, he also had beautiful Christmas decorations and a gorgeous tree set up for us. He was available if we needed anything or had any questions. One evening we all went into Ennis to the Willie's Distillery, so friendly and great drinks, highly recommend!! After the distillery we had an incredible dinner at the McAllister Inn and Steakhouse. Thank you Scott, Chris and Dean for making this a very memorable Christmas for myself and family. We will remember this as one of our all time favorites. Rebecca Casteel.

Magnificent property and location!

This is the second time we've stayed at this amazing property and we can't wait to visit again. The view is incredible, the accommodations perfect. One couldn't ask for more. Our grand-kids caught their first trout ever in the pond on the property. We barbecued almost every evening. We used the hot-tub while gazing at more stars and planets than we ever could have imagined. The entire experience there was over-the-top!

Even better than advertised

We stayed here for a week and it was great. One of the few times where the actual property was better than the pictures. It was amazing! The property with the streams, trails, pond and views are everything you could hope for. We saw moose, fox, antelope, deer and numerous beautiful birds. The location is great! Far enough so it feels private but close to amenities. The home is fitted out the way you would your own home not as is sometimes seen in rental properties. Will definitely plan on staying here again when in the area! Dean, the host, could not have been nicer and more helpful with any needs and all the local knowledge. Btw the entire huge property was completely spotless.

Montana Getaway

Check in was a breeze. Dean is so pleasant and whenever we needed anything, call and he was right there or had the answers on the phone. There were 13 of us and even had a bed or 2 extra so it worked out great. Kitchen is stocked with whatever you need even though we brought an extra crockpot and griddle. We knew we would need it. Beds were comfortable and clean. Overall. Great trip and a great place to go.

The Most Authentic Quintessential Montana Experience!

Our Montana vacation was BEYOND our expectations with the perfect setting at Scott and Chris’ beautiful cabin. There are not enough words or room to describe how beautiful the location and view is (Montana sunsets are divine!), how perfectly warm and cozy (yet still very high end) the cabin is, or the kind spirit of the lovely property caretaker Dean. My family of 5 visited for 11 days in October over my oldest daughter’s fall break. We are from Phoenix and we were looking to expose our kids to a new experience. We delivered. To illustrate the level of hospitality we received from Dean, I’d like to mention that the first night we were supposed to arrive at 2:25pm, and due to the craziness of the airlines, we arrived at 12:30am. He met us off of the main road and led us to the property, he showed us around and tried to put us at ease-he is such a wonderful gentlemen. We are lucky to have met him. During our stay we were blessed to have snow-so much that we were effectively snowed in! It was awesome. Scott and Chris had snow discs and weather appropriate items for our use and we spent the days playing outside, playing board games, cooking and drinking hot cocoa. When the snow slowed down a bit, Dean came and plowed us out. He checked on us often and stayed in contact. He answered my questions about wildlife in the area because we sure saw a lot haha! We had a moose cow and her calf visit a few times and that was so surreal! The drive from the cabin to the main road was like being inside a wildlife sanctuary: antelope, moose, white-tail deer, horses, cattle, sheep etc. My kids were in heaven. We ventured to Yellowstone for a day and it was amazing-take the time to do it if you can. We loved visiting Deemo’s meats for Montana beef and we grilled some serious tomahawks on the Arnold’s grill: 10/10 recommend. We ate at Gravel Bar more than once (the burgers are amazing) and Yesterday’s for breakfast. Downtown Ennis is so cute and charming. The Ennis Mercantile was great for local art and jewelry, and Willie’s Distillery is a must visit. Their bourbon and vodka is top notch. For travelers with families, we felt very comfortable and safe at the Arnold’s property. They had a high chair, toys for the children, games, and the bedroom arrangements were great for keeping kids together. We feel so blessed we were able to have this experience and meet these kind people. We hope to return one day and are so thankful for the memories we made.

Amazing!

Thank you Scott for sharing your home with my team. I could write a book about this property and how amazing it is. My team needed to get together face-to-face to review business and have a fun activity. After lots of searching, we came across Scott's place and decided this would meet our needs. After working through the details with Scott, we reserved the home. Check in was great. I called the caretaker Dean and he met us at the house and showed us around. Dean is a fantastic guy who obviously cares for the place like he owns it. Dean lives just a few miles away and was easily accessible if we needed anything. The home was perfect. Several comfy beds for a large group like ours. Everything we needed was provided at the home. We spent hours cooking and relaxing on the back deck overlooking the valley. We saw 3 moose, elk, antelope, black bear (just down the road) and deer. The WIFI worked great and as we had several people virtually join our meetings. My team takes a trip like this once a year and this is by far the nicest place we've stayed. We will be back. Thank you Scott and Dean for such a wonderful time.

Holiday Magic

Our stay at this beautiful property exceeded our expectations in every way. The home was even more beautiful and spacious than portrayed in the listing. There was plenty of room to gather or have privacy, and the furnishings and amenities were very nice. We were met by Dean, who showed us around and was available if needed. He was helpful, friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. We had fun exploring the lovely town of Ennis, and also explored Yellowstone by snow coach, the Museum of the Rockies and MSU in Bozeman and visited family near Helena. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery on all or our day trips. The highlight for the kids was sledding at the "cabin". We hope to visit again someday.

Summer, Autumn, Winter - 45 day stay

AMAZING in every aspect. Beautiful setting and views. Comfortable cabins with plenty of room for our family of 7 plus guests in the "Ritz-Carlton like rusty-chic" out cabin. Moose, elk, deer sightings nearly daily. Kids loved the pond for fishing, the grounds for walking and mountain biking and taking the side-by-side into the National Forest just behind the property, and the excursions to Yellowstone National Park (an hour drive) and the ghost towns of Virginia City and Nevada City (30 minutes). All enjoyed the hot-tub and the nearby world-class fly-fishing on the Madison, Gallatin, Yellowstone and Missouri rivers and the hiking in the Tobacco Root Mountains. Dean, the caretaker who lives nearby was very attentive but not hovering. Both cabins have superbly functional connectivity/wifi and our family had 3 or 4 zoom meetings ongoing simultaneously daily in work and school from home. The owners have built a most lovely property for those wanting an amazing experience of staying connected to the world but "getting away from it all" for adventure and rest and relaxation. Highest recommendations! A warm "thank you" to Scott and Chris for opening your home to us for an extended stay. Very much appreciated.

Our Awesome Family gathering in Montana

This place is fantastic, We spent lazy hours on the sprawling decks that wrap around both houses. We saw sunrises and sunsets from the hot tub. We hiked the nature trail and fished in the pond on the property. The whole experience was way beyond our expectations. We would definitely recommend this place. We can't wait to come back.

Montana Retreat

From arrival to departure our time at the cabin met or exceeded every expectation. The caretaker Dean, very kind and gracious, met us on the road and led the way up the mountain to the beautiful log cabin with its separate guest house. After a quick tour Dean left us to enjoy our wonderful week in Montana. The cabin itself had all the amenities we could possibly need including fishing poles which we had fun using. There is plenty of space to spread out and comfortable places to hang out together. Our favorite activities at the the cabin were to go down and do a little fishing at the pond, hunt for tracks along the trail that winds around the property, sit in the hot tub (it even snowed on us one night while we were in it!), and relax on the porch and watch for wildlife including sandhill cranes and a deer giving birth! From the cabin we were easily able to drive to Yellowstone for the day and there is lots to do in the area including guided fly fishing and hiking (and bowling at the Ennis Fish Bowl where you can also get a great meal!) Scott and Chris quickly responded to any questions we had and Dean was right down the road if we needed anything. Thank you Scott and Chris for a wonderful time and sharing your home with us. We couldn’t recommend it enough!

Beyond 5 stars

An incredible property. Our family had a wonderful time at this amazing estate. This property defined everything we were looking for in Montana. We saw moose, deer, antelope, caught fish and didn't even have to leave the property, though we did visit Yellowstone and fished on the Madison River. We enjoyed the hot tub, barbecued most evenings, sat in front of the fireplace. The owners have seen to every detail you can think of and the caretaker could not have been more accommodating. Our family enjoyed the trip of a lifetime. We all can't wait to return.

Great Holiday Weekend- Thanksgiving 2018

Fantastic house in a gorgeous valley looking over Ennis lake and the Madison River Valley. House was well appointed for our 16 guests, with plenty of room for everybody to have their own space. Our highlight was sledding and fishing for the plentiful (and hungry) brook trout inhabiting the pond below the cabin with our kids. Wonderful place that we hope to be back someday. Great communication with both owner and local caretaker.
