The house has 3 Bedrooms, everything is decorated in modern fashion, however being called The Pool house and not informing us until we read the arrival information that the heated pool heavily marketed on VRBO was winterized was deceptive. The pool was the reason we booked 3 nights. Way too pricey for a one bathroom place and no pool ability. There is a Holiday Inn we could have stayed at and had two rooms and two bathrooms for less than 250 a nite. I will say the kitchen was nice, however we didn‘t use it for meals as we ate at local haunts! Transparency is needed up front with VRBO clients, not wait til a client arrives to change the amenity availability. Just not right! They also need to clean furnace vent and their front door area(cobwebs greet you). Twin bedroom way too firm/hard mattress, Double/Queen was good. Didn‘t use 3rd Bedroom as our family member elected to stay elsewhere with a pool, a better bed, and bigger bathroom. Our first VRBO disappointment and we should receive a refund on each day pool was not useable. Overpriced.

Hi and thank you for staying with us. We’ve been hosting at this house for a while now and this is the first time we’ve ever had a guest complain and expect the pool to be open a week before November. We’ve already had overnight freezing temps. Expecting a pool to be open in late October in Chicago is just not realistic. We will look into your other “complaints” as well but those are a first. Also the furnace is regularly serviced and filter was replaced within 30 days of your stay. Cobwebs outside - we may have missed those. Sorry. As for mattresses everyone has different preferences and unfortunately we cannot provide a customized sleeping experience for everyone. Thanks again for staying with us!

Our host Pat was very accommodating. The place was very clean, beds comfortable, and the location was great. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. I give it a 5 star plus. We will be coming back for sure.

They had all the things you need to start off your holiday! Towels, kitchen items including coffee, etc. And the pool and fire pit were awesome!
