WELCOME TO OUR HOME!!
Unwind in our Cape Neddick (York) home with 3 queen beds spread across 3 cozy bedrooms…downstairs bedroom has a TV mounted to the wall and the two bedrooms upstairs have TVs that come down out of the ceiling (how cool is that…just be careful not to walk into them when they are down…ouch).
The den is equipped with surround sound TV, a nicely appointed dining room for the best of feasts that can be prepared in a home-chefs dream kitchen.
The house also features an amazing game room with a poker table, vintage working jukebox, vintage working casino Triple Diamond slot machine, vintage working Tomcat pinball machine, and a newer upright arcade that has well over 3,000 vintage games like Ms Pac-Man, Asteroids, Galaga, frogger, and more. This game room also has a sofa with pull out queen sized bed (Listed as 'Office 1' on the VRBO platform).
There is a work-station with high speed WiFi in the home for those who just have to jump online for work.
Coffee bar with coffee and tea is available to you as well.
There is a washing machine and dryer in the basement so you don’t have to overpack your luggage and pay extra fees at the airport….just wash and refresh right here.
There is a gas grill for your use in creating your famous BBQ dining.
There is corn-hole available for you to use as you like.
This lovely home is just 3.1 miles to Mt Agamenticus where you will see some amazing views and walking trails.
You can also hop on some beautiful walking trails just a stones throw from this home. Turn left out of the driveway and you’ll soon see the trail entrance on your right.
You are just 3.2 miles from Josias River Farm wedding venue on Logging Road and Clay Hill Farm restaurant and events on Clay Hill Road.
You’re just 4.1 miles away from York’s Wild Kingdom.
You’re 4.2 miles away you’ll find Cape Neddick Beach.
4.5 miles is Short Sands Beach where you’ll find Fun O Rama with candlestick bowling and right next door to that is the arcade with all sorts of games to play and win tickets for prizes….and the little town is made for walking after you have spent some time with your feet in the sand and some ocean swimming.
If you long for a larger beach, you’re only 5.5 miles away from Long Sands Beach where not only swimming can be fun, but paddle boarding, surfing, and boogie-boarding are all available too.
Don’t forget to stop by and spend some time on the rocks when visiting our world famous Nubble Lighthouse just 5.9 miles away. The lighthouse sits between Short Sands and Long Sands beaches.
There are a plethora of dining places nearby in York and Ogunquit.
Don’t forget to hit the Outlet Malls in Kittery, just 10 miles away.
There is SO much to do in the area that there is no way you could ever be bored. Go do all the things the surrounding area has to offer or just stay home and enjoy all the amenities this home has to offer.
How about a nice iced coffee while sitting on the wonderful porch right outside the front door.
Oh yeah, did we forget to mention that there are tons of boardgames in the house…some we’re sure you’ve heard of and others you probably have never heard of or seen before.
This home has a whole-house generator, so you will never be left in the dark. The generator will kick in automatically, so you don’t need to do anything. There are also security cameras on the outside of the home.
If you happen to be bringing your fur-children (2 maximum), please be courteous and clean up after them. There plenty of poopie-bags on the shelf as you open up the basement door.
We hope you thoroughly enjoy your stay in our wonderful Cape Neddick home.

About the host
Hosted by Eric

Originally from New Jersey, born and raised.
I am a Disabled/Retired Navy Veteran with over 22 years of Active Naval Service. I went in right after high school in 1984, did 2 tours and was Honorably Discharged in 1992. After years of doing various things, I returned to Active Naval Service as an anti-terrorism/force protection field right after the terrorist attacks on our Country on 9/11. In 2005, I attained the rank of Chief Petty Officer. A year later I was putting on Officer bars as an Ensign having been Selected by the Limited Duty Officer/Chief Warrant Officer Board. I was medically retired in 2016 at the Grade of Lieutenant (O3e).
Soon after retirement, I moved to Maine to help care for my aging father with Parkinson’s. With the help of an amazing Realtor, I purchased and lived in this beautiful home.
I met my angel and we soon merged into one home. Now she and I are trying our hand at being a Host. We hope you enjoy our home and will be return visitors.

Why they chose this property
This was the perfect home for me at the time I purchased it. It was off the beaten path, on a dead end road, with plenty of beautiful space around me. Another huge bonus for me was that it was only a little over 3 miles to my fathers home and so close to some beautiful beaches and hiking trail on and around Mt Agamenticus.
What makes this property unique
As mentioned previously, this home is off the beaten path. It is away from the loads of traffic during our busy tourist season, yet it’s still close to everything in the area. I have little doubt that you will not find the serenity of this home and its amazing front porch, as I did when this was living in it.
