Great family getaway home on beautiful lake Catherine in Hot Springs, AR. Sleeps 12 comfortably. As soon as you walk in the front door you can see the lake. Home features a large eat in kitchen with smart tv and all appliances including dish washer, microwave, coffee pot, Keurig single serve coffee pot, electric tea pot, electric knife, griddle, pots n pans, crock pot, toaster oven/air fryer and dishes. living room with sliding door to view the lake, gas fireplace, and a 55 inch smart tv. bedroom on first floor with a double bed and a full bathroom on the first floor. Upstairs has a master bedroom overlooking the lake with a queen size bed, tv and entrance to the bathroom upstairs. Third bedroom (Arkansas room) with bunk beds twin over full and large forth bedroom (Iowa room) with a full and twin beds at one end and a twin bed with a twin trundle bed under it that when popped up next to the other twin makes a king size bed. Iowa room has a new dresser not shown in the pictures, no mirror on it, didn’t fit. pack n play crib, stroller and high chair in closet upstairs master bedroom for your use. Linens and towels provided. You do your own laundry. Laundry room with washer and dryer (HE soap only). Large new deck built, February 2024, new privacy fence in backyard and front yard, December 2023 & 2025. Lakeside of yard is not fenced in. Please watch your children around the lake. dock to enjoy the lake built 2017, stone fire pit patio area added may 2021. Free wi-fi and smart TVs. Gas grill outside. Dish soap, some laundry soap provided to do a few loads of laundry. one Bar of soap in each bathroom. Located less than 10 miles to beautiful downtown hot springs, Oaklawn race track, magic springs, golf courses, bath house row, mid American museum, alligator farm, garland county fair grounds, Lake Catherine State Park, Walmart and shopping. Very centrally located to most attractions. We had a fire early 2023 and we had to block the rest of 2023, and that is why we have no reviews for 2023. Most everything is brand new in our home once again. Please respect our vacation home. We have been through a lot in 2023 to get it beautiful once again. Hope you all make family memories like we have when you enjoy our home.

A Happy Place!!

We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!! A great home and location for families! Hosts were very responsive to our questions. The dollar general right down the road was very helpful for any random items we forgot or ended up needing. Lake Catherine is beautiful and was a great meeting point for our family that lives across three states (Kansas, Oklahoma and Florida)!

Summer Vaca

Cozy house situated on a cove just off the lake. The dock was well equipped with bumpers; we enjoyed leaving the boat in the water for the week. The fire pit was great for s'mores and visiting in the evenings. The property owners were readily available to answer questions, although we only had 1. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. We would/will stay here again.

Family trip to Lake Catherine

We love Lake Catherine! We were in Arkansas for a family reunion in Malvern. This house was an awesome fit for our family group. The kids swam a lot. We even rented a party barge from the state park marina and played on the sand bar. This is definitely some place we'd rent again and recommend to friends & family - there were Stewart's, Morris' and Ray's - 3 generations in all!

Perfect Stay that met our large family needs and more!

This property was perfect for our family of 12. There was plenty of room for every to sleep comfortably. The added extras like board games, Play Station, Paddle Boat, Corn Hole and Outdoor Connect 4 and Yahtzee kept everyone busy and having fun at the property. We had everything we needed to cook breakfast and grill. The location was ideal for short drive to both downtown and Magic Springs! The Property Owners were friendly and kept in contact to make sure we had everything we needed for the stay. I will definitely recommend this property to our family and friends!

This was the perfect getaway! A home that had all the essentials as you we’re away from your own. Close proximity to several state parks, grocery store, and convenient store. We even extended our stay by two days. I will miss my morning coffee outside on the deck overlooking the lake. Diane was so easy to talk to and made herself available through our stay. My family and I enjoyed our stay. This house was a bit smaller than what we usually rent each year, but we enjoyed our stay! The house was clean and presentable. We had a small hiccup about the parking when we got there, but we got that corrected very quick. I would suggest maybe adding TVs to each room. Other than that, everything was great for our family! Spring Break 2023

We had a great time. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Everything in Hot Springs was about 10 minutes away and easy to get to. Diana was responsive and answered all my questions. She was easy to get a hold of and was willing to make sure the house had what we needed. We have 5 kids and the house easily accommodated the 7 of us. We enjoyed using the fire pit and even a cold dip in the lake. Next time we want to come back when the lake water is warmer so we can enjoy the lake more. Definitely would stay here for a second time.

The house was updated nicely. Plenty of room for two families with lots of kids. The kitchen was equipped with everything anyone could need. Located near attractions and stores. The owners left little notes on how to operate remote controls for the TV and dish Network. The beds we're sooo comfortable. The outlets didn't work on the pier. We had to use an extension cord for our radio. Such a great relaxing time!

My wife and I came over with another couple that are friends of ours, each of us having 2 boys. There was plenty of space for our families with room to spare. We loved having the deck on which we could sit and drink coffee and look at the lake. There was a dock with a paddle boat available, but we didn't really take advantage of that as the weather was still a bit cool. The owners were very responsive and we had no issues during our stay. Would love to rent this lakehouse again during warmer weather when we could take advantage of the lake. Would highly recommend!!!

What a great place!!!

It had been years since we had a friends and family vacation. This place…this hidden gem…was the perfect spot. There were 11 of us, and no one had to sleep on a couch or in the floor. There was plenty of space inside for meals, as well we used every inch of the large back deck. The kids even had a cornhole tournament on the deck one evening. At Diane’s suggestion, we rented a boat from Lake Catherine Marina, and drove it right up to the house (dock) to pick everyone up. It was a perfect day. Since this home was so close to everything Hot Springs, we also took in The Escape Room downtown, Magic Springs, the casino, and a variety of eateries. Diane was very quick to respond to our messages, and seemed to truly care that we enjoyed our vacation. We will definitely be back, and send referrals.

Our party of 10 (ages 4 months to 50 years) had a wonderful experience at this lake house. It was impeccably clean. There was room for everyone to sleep comfortably. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. Diana was available, communicative, and very pleasant leading up to and throughout our stay. The house is cozy. The yard and dock are great. The paddle boat is a lot of fun. The neighborhood is quiet and calm. The next door neighbors were very friendly and welcoming. 10/10 would recommend highly!

We had a great stay! The house was very clean and comfortable, and it was perfect for our group of adults and several kids. The view of the lake with the hills in the background was beautiful to look at every morning and evening. The house had everything we needed. The yard is great for kids as well. It was too cold for us to swim but it was easy to access life jackets and the dock if it had been warmer. It was only a 15 minute drive to all the attractions of Hot Springs. The host was responsive and kind. Definitely recommend this house!

Wonderful Holiday

Our host was FABULOUS! While Diana wasn't actually in town, she kept in touch and made sure all of our needs were met. Everyone loved the house - especially our grandchildren! They played upstairs and downstairs and ON the stairs! The kitchen was well equipped and we were able to make a fairly traditional Thanksgiving meal with no trouble at all. Such a blessing!!! We would absolutely recommend this lake house and it's owners. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

By far the best host I have ever had through VRBO. The house is in the perfect location. Close to everything you need but still on the peaceful lake Catherine. We did not have one complaint about this property. Everyone was also pleased with how comfortable the beds were, including the bunk bed.

We just stayed at My Happy Place. The owners are so nice and very easy to reach for advice. We had never been to Arkansas. Our family of 6 adults and kids ranging from 5 -13 really enjoyed the house, lake and the surrounding area.

We are from Iowa and I have been visiting Hot Springs as long as I can remember. My parents bought this house from a friend of my dad’s parents who lived next door. My husband started coming down with my family in 1978. We married in 1982 and had 4 boys in 12 years. Our boys loved it, every summer we would fill our conversion van with them and 3 or 4 of their cousins or friends to come with us. My poor mother, she welcomed us every trip and with only 2 bedrooms and a hide a bed in the living room and one bathroom. God bless my mother. Our boys have so many memories of their grandparents and our trips here. They now bring their families to make memories with us. It’s not the same without my parents here, we miss them greatly. Mom would tell me she loves to have us come, but it was good to see us go. I totally understand that now. LOL
We purchased the home from my father in 2012 and added the second story in 2015.
My dad died in 2015, b4 the upstairs was finished. My mother would have loved the larger kitchen and more bedrooms and bathrooms. She passed away in 2004. Carrying on my parent’s dream, but with a larger home now.

Why they chose this property

we are from Iowa and have been visiting Hot Springs yearly all my life.
my parents had friends here and purchased this home in 1972. We purchased the home from my dad in 2012. We remodeled in 2015.
We added a second story and 3 more bedrooms and another bathroom upstairs. We have 4 grown boys with families now and they all come down for vacations with their kids. So much easier with more bedrooms and bathrooms. We hope others can enjoy our home and make memories while we cannot be here to enjoy it.

What makes this property unique

we chose this property, well because it feels like home and the view is great, the neighbors could not be any nicer. We drive 10 hours to enjoy our home away from home and it is worth every hour of the drive to get here. Close to most anything you would want to do in Hot Springs and only steps away from the lake. We are located in a quiet cove off the main channel. Great swimming off the dock.
