The house and location were fabulous. The views, backyard, and home were beautiful and clean. Property managers were very quick to respond and assist. Quickly fixed a fan and attempted to assist with hot tub, but the hot tub never got warm during our stay but it was a cool weekend for Galveston.

DO NOT STAY HERE, Extremely Stressful and Unhygienic: Our stay was extremely disappointing & stressful. The main amenity we were looking forward to was the pool, but unfortunately, it was filthy & clearly had not been properly serviced for quite some time. The pool looks nothing like advertised, it was so dirty that we were unable to use it for our entire stay.The cleanliness of the home was also a major concern. Upon arrival, we found bugs throughout the house & in multiple areas. During our stay, we also discovered both small & large roaches crawling around the home. It became so uncomfortable that we had to sleep with the lights on. The overall condition of the house felt unhygienic &, frankly, like a health concern. Also other maintenance issues:The AC filter was clogged & dirty, making it very difficult to keep the home at a comfortable temperature.The toilet seat in the back room near the laundry area was broken.The dishwasher had an unpleasant smell.The secondary bathtub was clogged & did not drain properly.The pool was unusable for the entire stay.The home & pool should’ve been thoroughly cleaned, serviced, & ready for guests before check-in. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. The property did not feel clean, comfortable, or relaxing, & we experienced the same "ick" & discomfort that other guests have mentioned in their reviews.Despite all of these issues, we weren’t provided any refund or compensation.Save ur time n book elsewhere. Nothing relaxed.

This is a large house, lots of rooms and beds. It takes a lot of a/c to keep cool, which we did not have access to. When it did get cooler it dripped from the ceiling. Kitchen has lots of large pans and utensils, which is a plus. However, you cannot run the dishwasher and use microwave at the same time. No broom was accessible. Was unable to get hot water in main shower which also flooded at every shower, someone came out. Then the toilet stop working outside by the pool. Outside was another matter. Front driveway is uneven going into the carport. Tripping hazard. No railing after entering from carport inside house, large steps. Nothing to hang on to for balance. Front bushes leading to door were overgrown that you had to walk through to get inside. Backyard bushes are lethal to dogs, so don’t bring your service dogs. Awning was loose and needs repair. Decking around pool is cluttered with weeds and boards are lifting up. Bbq was dirty, had to clean before using, then the propane ran out while cooking 1st dinner. Had to finish cooking inside. No railing for entrance to pool, steps are deep, and hard to negotiate. Unknown walked right into backyard to work on owners boat at dock. Not notified they were coming. Family members were in pool at time. Way too many bunkbeds, need more queen plus beds. 3 rooms of bunkbeds? Way too many water bugs!! Seeing the cruise ships passing by and the sunsets were the highlight

We arrived to our stay on a holiday weekend and the house thermostat was set at 84, the pool was green and filled with algae and there was no high chair as indicated in their description. We began trying to contact them and they gave us every excuse under the sun on getting the pool cleaned. After several calls to the real estate company who insisted the earliest they could have the cleaning company out was 2-5 PM the following day, we were told that the pool cleaning takes place every Friday so that’s why the pool looked the way it did since we arrived on a Thursday. I informed them that there was also no high chair and they discovered then that the previous house inspection did not show a high chair on site. When the pool cleaning company showed up the following morning, we were told we’d be clear to swim at noon. While swimming, the yard guys showed up and we had to ask them to leave because they were blowing debris into the pool. There was some sort of poison ivy growing from under the deck as well. While the remainder of our stay was uneventful, we did ask for some reimbursement for our inability to use the pool upon arrival. After almost a week of back and forth communication, they offered a very small refund in comparison to what we paid to stay here. We also left behind a Dopp kit and we still cannot get them to ship it us and are continuously having to follow up. The management of this location is very poor and not customer service focused.

The location of the property was close to the beach, the ferry and The Strand. The house was clean and there was plenty of room for the number of people we had. Washer and dryer in the house and laundry soap was provided. We were given the wrong key code to the lockbox. The host had a phone number with a full mailbox and a number that wasn’t answered. The VRBO rep was no help. My daughter finally got in touch with Stay Porter Texas and she was extremely helpful! Apologetic for the hiccup, gave us correct code and stayed on the phone to make sure we got in. There are 5 rooms. 3 of those rooms have only bunk beds. The master has a king bed and I believe the fifth room has a king bed. The room off the kitchen has its own bathroom. Seems like that room could be a mini master bedroom with the bunkbeds removed and replaced with a queen size bed.I understand they are looking to sleep as many people as possible but, when renting a home instead of a hotel room, I believe renters are looking for convenience and privacy. We had 5 children in our group and they all fit in one room of bunkbeds. Two sets of parents were stuck in bunkbeds. Even the parents in the room with its own bathroom. Ceiling fans in master and room off the kitchen didn’t not work. Toilet seat in room off kitchen was loose. Dishwasher had dirty water standing in it and didn’t work. Landscaping was out of control and the Mosquitoes were loving that! The views were great. Home needs work.
