Important Notes About the Walkout Basement

This is a clean, well-maintained 100-year-old property with a ground-level walkout basement. The basement door is original, which adds to the home’s historic charm.

The entrance is surrounded by plantings, and the driveway is gravel, not paved.

Due to its ground-level location and proximity to landscaping, you may occasionally see a harmless spider or small insect. These are rare but possible and are clearly disclosed in advance.

This home allows pets, which means even after thorough cleaning, it’s possible a single hair from a previous guest’s pet may be found. This is normal in any pet-friendly property.

If you have severe arachnophobia or expect the home to be 100% free of any natural elements, this may not be the right property for you.

We clean thoroughly between guests — however, this is a real home cleaned by humans, not a sealed hotel environment or lab.

By booking, you acknowledge and accept these conditions. If you are looking for a sealed, insect-free, brand-new property, we recommend booking a modern hotel instead.

Cute little place with a cabin feel, it had everything I needed and then some. The place was very clean, the bed was very comfortable, and the shower was clean and welcome after long hiking days.

August 2025

We stayed 2 nights in early August at this cute location. It had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. Host was very prompt with answering texts, and the cabin was clean and well stocked to prepare breakfast. We will certainly be back!

Clean Place Great Location

We just spent one night here and were very impressed with the communication and responsiveness of the owner, Raisa. We had some temperature issues when we arrived due to an overactive air conditioner, but she was quick to get it rectified. My only concern at this point is the tight driveway and parking spaces which we shared with the upstairs client.

Cozy and Comfy

Loved this cute little basement apartment for our stay at Harpers Ferry! Parking was a little tight but at least there was parking. The room still smelled new and beds were so comfortable! Only issue was the upstairs neighbors decided to run their water starting at 5:45am and the water pipes were very noisy in the basement! It woke both me and my friend up… we tried to fall back asleep but gave up by 7 when it was clear they were not turning it off anytime soon. Other than that it was great!
