About this property
Rest has its own name: Munay.
Munay is the holiday home we all dream of. Spacious and bright, it's ideal for enjoying with family, gazing at the mountains, and having a barbecue.
With a large garden, it's an ideal space for children.
Munay makes wonderful use of space thanks to the attic where the youngest ones can stay.
Munay is one of the best options in Tafí del Valle.
Firewood is a scarce commodity in the Valley. The house offers a complimentary bag included in the price. Additional firewood can be found at the store and must be paid for separately.
Munay is the holiday home built by two distinguished university professors (Engineering and lighting design for him, philosophy for her) to spend their retirement days and welcome children, grandchildren, and friends. It is a house "lived in by its owners."
It has absolutely original construction details such as "Trombe" walls, which are glazed walls designed to capture solar energy and heat (or cool) the rooms.
A Trombe wall is a passive solar heating system. It's essentially a large, north-facing wall painted black or a dark color, with a sheet of glazing (like glass) spaced a few inches in front of it. Vents at the top and bottom of the wall allow air to circulate.
During the day, sunlight passes through the glazing and is absorbed by the dark wall, heating it up. This heat is then slowly conducted through the wall and radiates into the interior space, typically with a delay of several hours. The glazing traps the heat, reducing heat loss back to the outside.
The vents can be used to enhance air circulation. During the day in heating season, opening the bottom vent allows cooler room air to enter the space between the glazing and the wall, get heated, and then rise and enter the room through the top vent. In summer, the vents can be used for night flushing to cool the wall.
Trombe walls provide a relatively simple and effective way to capture solar energy for heating, reducing the need for conventional heating systems.
Guests have full access to the entire house, with the understanding that they will take care of the owners' belongings and reciprocate the trust placed in them by returning the property in good condition and with care (and positive reviews).
Total freedom and privacy. If you need us, we are available.
