We really enjoyed our stay here. It was a 20 min drive to hsrpers ferry and the opposite direction was a 20 min drive to chsrlestown. I would stay here again! Thank you for sharing your home with us!!

The property was exactly as listed. There was plenty of kitchen supplies for our needs for cooking and preparing food. Great location to the vineyard where we were attending a wedding. The view was beautiful . Joy our host was very helpful with all our questions and always got back to us in a very timely manner!

The house was very clean when we arrived and the decor is so inviting and homey. We were in town for my daughter's wedding and it was so nice to come back and relax in this home. The views are amazing and the sunrise is gorgeous. I would recommend this home to everyone. It is everything advertised and so much better in person. Thanks for a great stay.

Nice stay!

We enjoyed our stay at this property! “Hilltop Retreat” is a perfect description since it sits along a long and winding road atop a Virginia hillside! The house was spacious and easily accommodated our party of 9! It was easy to get to all the places we wanted to go; we had everything we needed; we would recommend and stay again at this location! The host was also quick to respond to all questions!

We absolutely loved this property except for the fact that it was only clean on the surface. Nothing was clean under/behind anything. I understand that nothing is perfect, but we found dirty socks from a previous stay in the closet that had clearly not been swept out. Under the beds and under the couch had a lot of debris and the couch needed a good vacuuming. The lights were filled with dead stink bugs(not just a few) Everything else about the property was wonderful! There was a beautiful view with lots of wildlife. The fire pit was enjoyable along with the large yard for the kids to play in. Plenty of bathrooms and a deck to sit and enjoy the scenery. I wouldn’t hesitate to rent this property again if the cleaners bumped up their game!

The house was as good as advertised. It was very clean (we have high standards) and in good condition. The layout was very comfortable for us and our family of 6 had plenty of room.We had an infestation of small grey bugs (we think they are stink bugs) and had to continually clean them out. It is hard to control bugs in a countryside location, but it is good to be aware of them, going into the rental.On the upside, we visited in May and the grounds were far more attractive than they look in the pictures. The property is not barren, as the pictures suggest. The clearing is surrounded by forests and the deck has a great view of the valley below.

Beautiful location with sweeping views of Virginia hills. Great for brewery and vineyard hopping. The house is gorgeous. They need a better cleaning crew: Bugs in the lights and around the house; dirty vents; and the laundry room smells like mold or mildew.

Such an adorable place, with peaceful, lovely surroundings. What a view from the living room and deck! We would recommend a shade on the LR window that can be pulled at sunrise, it was very bright. As beautiful as that was, we also realize not everyone is awake at sunrise!! Very pet friendly and accommodating, we loved the lower level and foosball. This is no big deal because we know the challenges of owning a rental property, but we did notice there were no mixing or serving bowls or platters. We imagine they can break, and easily disappear. Thank you for an easy process and communication, and for providing an amazing property! We would definitely rent Hilltop Retreat again!
