My family and I had a wonderful time in Vermont thanks to this house. It was a perfect place to come back to after a day of being out. The beds are comfortable and the place is updated and clean. There is a nice deck to sit out on to sip coffee in the mornings which we enjoyed. There is also a firepit. Overall, a wonderful home and location.
The house was well taken care of and exactly what we needed. Mary and her family were excellent hosts - good communication, welcoming touches, a thorough guide book, and they even brought over some extra toys for our kids to play with. Would stay here again without hesitation.
What a beautiful place to stay, classic Vermont, close to restaurants and downtown. Sunrise is stunning, quality linens and kitchen items on hand with absolutely zero noise. Looking forward to staying here again!
The pictures do not do this beautiful home justice! It is warm, cozy and so inviting! The location is great and the hosts were so welcoming and great with communication!Thank you for a wonderful weekend!
Our stay here as a family of 5 with an infant was perfect. Everything was perfectly clean, well stocked, and we loved how updated and modern the house is! Mary was very responsive, gave us all the information we needed, and very kind. I would absolutely recommend this stay!!
Beautiful property. The owners have thought of every detail. Excellent communication with host. It was very convenient to downtown Middlebury, but yet peaceful setting.
Mary’s cute farmhouse is impeccably clean and very up to date- on the interior it seems the house is totally brand new- up to date appliances, terrific furnishings, beautiful flooring, etc. Located just a 3 minute drive to campus it is an ideal location for those visiting Middlebury. Mary was very communicative and even left a few lovely welcome items in the fridge and on the kitchen table. The bedrooms on the main floor were small, while the upstairs bedroom was quite large. The beds were firm, I am sure there is a term for the kind of mattresses, but they were more like to a futon mattress- but very comfortable nonetheless. We really hope to be able to stay here in coming years. Thanks for a great trip Mary!
I had the unusual need to be in this home to care for my Midd kid post outpatient surgery so we were in the house nearly 24 hours a day for a week. It was a comfortable place to heal—talk, read, watch movies, and mom’s home cooked meals—light filled living room, with fully stocked kitchen equipment. The host was very communicative and even made sure I knew there were space heaters in the closet on a stretch of below zero nights. The host was able to accommodate an early arrival as I juggled flight times, grocery shopping and kid pickup in a tight pre-surgery window. Nearly daily I enjoyed walking in the Hurd Grasslands with access just down the street. The beautiful views of the yard and fields beyond offered a peaceful setting.
We were thoroughly charmed by the modern farmhouse in Middlebury! Mary was communicative and put so much thought into the decor of the house. It was well stocked with the essentials (towels, soap, coffee) and more. We enjoyed making a small fire in the backyard and relaxing on the porch. The location was ideal for a quick 5 minute trip to downtown Middlebury. The house is more spatious than we expected and the open layout facilitates a sunny, bright environment. We also loved petting Trini the kitty who came by to say hello. Overall, we had a great time and would recommend it to any visitor!
