What makes this property unique
St Martini Gardens has a rich history deeply rooted in Cape Town’s German heritage.
Originally designed by Pius Pahl, one of the last students of the renowned Bauhaus School before its closure, the building stands as a striking example of modernist architecture. Pahl’s design reflects the Bauhaus ethos—a harmonious balance of functionality, simplicity, and clean geometric lines—bringing a distinctive architectural charm to Cape Town.
In late 2024, my wife Caroline lovingly redesigned and refurbished the apartment's interior, staying true to the Bauhaus-inspired principles of form and function. The result is a space that’s both comfortable and inviting, with thoughtful touches that make it feel like home.
And of course, the spectacular view of the Company’s Garden and Table Mountain is the cherry on top. Whether you're enjoying your morning coffee or winding down with a sundowner, the balcony is the perfect spot to take it all in.
