About the host
Hosted by Paul Sova

My wife and I are both North Dakota natives. The property lies on land that's been in my family for 3 generations. I've loved the outdoors since I was a child, and especially love the tranquility of living in rural America. My wife is city born, and was pretty unsure about moving to the country, but after one summer of living in the quiet of North Dakota's countryside, she was hooked. With The Coyote Inn we hope to bring this love of the outdoors and the peace and tranquility of North Dakota's Countryside to you.
Why they chose this property
The neighborhood really chose us, the land has been in our family for generations. My wife and I have talked for years about building a place to allow others to enjoy the countryside the way we enjoy it. In November of 2023 we toured a lodge that was built by my co-worker, and the rest is history. We made the plans, designed the building ourselves, created Hidden Ponds LLC for the sole purpose of building The Coyote Inn.
What makes this property unique
This property has been in my family for 3 generations. My grandfather was the first child born in American from Polish Immigrants. He was born in Wisconsin, and moved to North Dakota as a young man where he met my grandmother. Together they purchased the land the lodge now sits on, and built their farm. Besides the history, the lodge is located in a wonderful location between the Jamestown Reservoir and Pipestem Reservoir. The Jamestown Reservoir is great for lake activities and is well known for it's Ice Fishing, particularly for Crappie. The Pipestem Reservoir is also excellent for fishing, especially if you like to battle aggressive Northern Pike. The Pipestem also has hiking trails, and primitive camping available. We're on the edge of the Prairie Pothole Region, which is world renowned for producing much of North America's Waterfowl. Hunters flock from all over the country in the fall to hunt in North Dakota. Jamestown is known as the Buffalo City, and is home to the Frontier Village, with many local shops and excellent places to dine. In the winter, the area is known for it's many perch ponds and excellent ice fishing.
