Stay at Our Lake Cottage with everything you need on the main level, gathering room with hearth, a cook’s kitchen with dining room, a den with full library, records, and telescope for star gazing, a beautiful full lake view family room with woodburning stove, 3 bedrooms including master ensuite with lake view and king size bed, two guest rooms and bath, and laundry, plus a full lower level gathering room with extra double bed, half bath, and a second big screen, cozy Fireplace with recliners and couch to gather in front of, and full laundry with walkout to extensive side and back yards!! Just a few minutes on paved roads from downtown and Aggieville restaurants, shoppes, and KSU activities. Or sit on the covered front porch with a good book on the swing and watch it rain! We do not book our home for large events or parties, sorry.

Relaxing and beautiful

This place was great- loved the relaxing deck in the mornings with coffee and wine in the evenings. Lots of nature and very quiet. The sunroom was fabulous. Location was easy to find with great access. Never turned on the tv or stereo- just lots of great conversations and creativity.

We had a wonderful time at the Cozy Cottage! It is hardly a cottage but a beautiful vacation home. Our stay in Manhattan is always great but staying at this property made the weekend all that much better. My married children and grandson were with us and we had so much space. The lake view, location to KSU football stadium, and Jan's lovely decor couldn't have been better. We will stay there as often as it's available for our Manhattan stay.

Weekend Getaway

Jan was a pleasure to work with, great communication! Wonderful home, beautiful location, everything we hoped it would be and more! Weather didn’t cooperate so we didn’t get to use the outdoor space much, hope to make it back and enjoy the deck/view/firepit/grill etc more next time. If you’re in the neighborhood I highly recommend you grab this gem, you won’t regret it!

Family Weekend @ KSU

Easy drive to K-State campus. Quiet get away, close to the marina with pretty views off deck at sunrise & sunset. Like a comfortable visit to grandma's place, full of knicknacks from the owners' own story. Plenty of room on two floors. Nice upgrades to basement gathering space. Good communication.

Restful stay!

House is in a very quiet residential area. It has a gorgeous view of the lake, on the west side not far from the dam and only a couple of miles from Manhattan. Sunsets and sunrises are usually spectacular. The house is equipped with any amenity you would want. It is decorated so nicely and has a homey feel. It was perfect for our anniversary getaway. Definitely a place we would return to again. Thanks for a great stay!

The house is well maintained and comfortable. We cooked dinner on the grill and watched the hummingbird birds fly around the deck. The kitchen has everything you will need and close to Manhattan.

This property was able to comfortably handle our large group of guys and our gear while also leaving us ample room to not feel short on space while in the house. House has great views and is conveniently located near all the amenities in Manhattan.

We are a semi-retired, middle-aged local couple who has decided to share our beloved lake cottage when we are not using it. We have four children, seven grandchildren, and two Morkies. We love our family, the lake life, traveling, most outdoor activities, cooking, entertaining, and Sports, particularly KSU Football!!!

Why they chose this property

My husband grew up at the lake, and I spent weekends on the lake with my family growing up, so it holds special memories for both of us. We enjoy spending time here relaxing, but decided to share our home with others when we are not using it. We have rented vacation homes for years and have thoroughly enjoyed them, so decided to try our hand at hosting. We have owned a business in Manhattan for many years, as well as rental properies, so have a maintenance crew and know how to provide good customer service. We traded a prior lake property that we have rented for this one, so are really "not so new" at renting (35 years in the real estate business) but new at vacation home renting.

What makes this property unique

From the Covered front porch when you first walk up the steps, to the cottagey, homey feeling inside with its wood ceilings, brick fireplace, woodburning stove, comfortable furniture and beds, to the breathtaking views of the lake, large shade trees in the large yard full of perrennials, and private deck, I hope you can feel the love this special home has to offer. The decorations, books, curios, and nooks and crannies are provided to take you back to a simpler time and evoke memories of the past, while you enjoy the wonderfully upscale appliances and amenities, not to mention the breathtaking views...
