About this property

Serapis house on Archanes country side, is a modern family home, which is off grid and runs entirely on solar energy, with lots of olive trees, set in fruit and vegetable gardens, with our own chickens, geese and providing eggs and fruits. The house has 4 bedrooms, which sleep 8-10 people, and provides generous living space, both inside and out.
Our location on top of the foothills of the Juchtas mountain means that you have fantastic views across two major mountain ranges as well as the whole bay of Heraklion. We are near a nature reserve, so there are plenty of stunning walks to be had straight from the house, with the ancient Minoan cemetery of Fourni in walking distance. There are lots of wild birds, hares and if you are lucky you might see a Cretan hedgehog. Depending on the season the area is full of wild flowers, herbs and vegetables.:
