About this place
Your peaceful Suite Retreat includes two fabulous connected rooms nestled in a historic 1888 home and wellness center. Enjoy relaxing, reading, writing, meditating or watching wildlife in the evergreens that surround your suite. While it is not an actual treehouse, it feels like a treehouse… all in the heart of downtown and close to all amenities. Your private antique shower bath is adjacent to your room.
The space
12 foot ceiling, historic and spacious!! Tree house suite anteroom filled with windows with view of the historic evergreens. Watch wildlife in the treetops! You will be amazed with what downtown squirrels do Also our reservation says it sleeps 2… but we can bring an extra floor mattress in for the kids if needed just ask :)

We are a wellness center and you have shared access to all the common areas just not private offices… :) we are not a party house … just fyi

We are not a party house and the entire property inside and out is non-smoking. You are welcomed to BYOB just please keep it in your room and take it out with you. We are a wellness center and like to keep our place healthy for everyone, including chemically sensitive clients and staff. We don’t use strong fragrance and only natural cleaning products, we ask our guests and clients to keep synthetic fragrance to a minimum, thank yo

Unfit and dishonest

First the owner texted the day before to see if I checked in ok. I reminded her that I don’t check in until the next day. The next day the owner texted to say the house is shared with Mental Counseling. She followed up with times to avoid common areas and be quiet. When I arrived the room that claimed two twin beds only had one. The owner offered a mat to sleep on. I said I can’t stay here and the owner agreed to a refund. I kindly offered to refrain from a negative review when it was resolved. VRBO, which is various operators in India, can get no response from the owner and denies a refund. The owner admits that she doesn’t have the money anyway. I have screenshots of both Candace the owner and VRBO’s lack of accountability. I paid for a falsely advertised, uninhabitable house & VRBO is unconcerned.

What makes this property unique

This property is also a healing, yoga, counseling and wellness center, there may be times when I am seeing clients in one of the offices only during business hours, you have the whole place to yourself in the evening and of course your rooms and bathrooms are private… and you have use of the sitting areas, yoga room, and kitchen too. We have plenty of tea and coffee and instant hot water and a refrigerator for all your items. It’s sure to be a unique and rejuvenating stay. We have an antique clawfoot tub in one of the bathrooms that you are welcome to enjoy!
