About the host
Hosted by Jason Kisling

The Jourdain Family originates from France and has a rich history of winemaking and vineyard ownership, from the Loire Valley to the Provence region of southeast France where they still produce acclaimed wines in these regions.
However the Jourdain name is not new the North Carolina winemaking. It has been almost 50 years since George Vanderbilt's grandson William Cecil brought over Philippe Jourdain from France to be Biltmore Estate's first winemaker. Philippe, which ran one of the family vineyards in Provence, was also a teacher of viticulture and oenology at the "Lycee Agricole" in Carcassonne and played an instrumental role in shaping what is today the Biltmore Winery.
