About this property

Cozy Mountain Cabin and Barn Get Away

While we deal with the what is going with the corona virus, I want to reassure you that we disinfect and clean as if I would be staying. We disinfect and clean all touchable surfaces, knobs, countertops after each guests.

For a great mountain get away that is still close to many activities and mountain explorations you will love to stay at Mulberry Acres. A rustic hideaway nestled in the mountains of Saluda NC. This rustic cabin has a relaxing deck out front and as you enter you will find a full kitchen with new appliances, living area and bathroom with a shower. On the main level there is a ceder walled queen bedroom which was once a horse stall and has now been beautifully remodeled. In the upstairs loft (1000 sq ft), there is another sitting area, double bed, and two twin beds, there is a total of 1600 sq ft. This cabin is located on a gated 2.5 acres which is completely fenced in. The property boasts a small stream, picnic table and fire pit. We do have Internet.
Did I mention that on a clear night you can reach up and almost touch the stars?

We are just a few minutes from the historic town of Saluda, NC. Saluda is home to the oldest grocery store in NC, a railroad museum packed with history, Green River Rafting, and many gift shops. We are about 30 minutes from the Tryon Equestrian Center. We are centrally located between Asheville NC and Greenville SC. You can enjoy day trips to the Biltmore House, River Arts district in Asheville and various antique shopping destinations. We are also close to Hendersonville, NC which has many main street shopping and restaurants.

For the outdoor enthusiast there is Pearson Falls, many hiking trails and cyclist riding. We are close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and Grandfather Mountain, plus so much more. Since we are in a secluded location if we are going to have extreme bad weather which is usually during winter or spring we need to have the right to cancel. It is for your safety.

A little piece of heaven
Bob and Deb are fantastic hosts! So is Lilly( their dog)!! They have transformed what was an old horse barn into an oasis of peace from this harried world. We will definitely be returning.

I will come again
I stayed for two nights and I wish I would’ve stayed longer. The host Debbie and her husband are probably some of the nicest individuals I’ve ever met. They did something for us personally that I would have never expected! The cabin was also way bigger than I expected, especially after I went to the loft! The cabin was really nice, but that loft was nothing short of amazing. If you have the chance to stay here… you will not regret it.

Rustic and Relaxing
The property was clean and more spacious than expected. It was also very quiet with a gurgling stream next to the home. Would definitely stay again.

About the host

We have recently retired and settled in the mountains of Saluda. We love it. We were originally born and raised in Asheville but love the charm of Saluda. We are mountain people and will give you some southern mountain hospitality. We have retired from church ministry and were blessed with this rental cabin. We want to share with you the comfort of this mountain cabin and the wonderful town of Saluda.

Why they chose this property

What makes this property so special is the peacefulness and the quietness of the property. We are about 5 miles from Saluda so very little traffic and it makes a great place to rest and relax but close to may activities for you to enjoy.

What makes this property unique

We fell in love with the cabin. All it needed was a little love. My husband made a bedroom out of the larger stall and everything else we left it as we found it outside of a little decorating. We hope you will love it as much as we do.
