This was a great place with a beautiful scenic view—perfect for a quiet and relaxing getaway. The atmosphere was peaceful, and it really felt like a retreat. Communication with the host was excellent—very responsive and helpful throughout our stay. The only small issue was that the floors could use a bit of attention, but honestly, everything else was awesome. We truly enjoyed our time here and definitely plan on coming back again!
We rented deer view house, as well as, river view house to have enough room for entire family. They are a short walk from one another and worked out perfectly!
The property was peaceful and great for fishing. The home was very clean and easy access to the Brazos river. I hoping to come back soon.

Amazing View!
Had so much fun at the house. Great view off the back porch of the cows in the pasture, and had fun swimming and fishing in the Brazos River. Very clean house, and great hosts. Would stay there again for sure!
We really enjoyed our stay. The night breeze was beautiful. The home was very clean! Thank you for the extras in the fridge, pantry, and restroom. We will definitely stay again.
We appreciated having a nice, clean, pet free place to stay with our small children. All questions were quickly answered through the message portal. We enjoyed the peaceful and calm country scenery.
The place was great! Didn't have to worry about neighbors. Enjoyed going to the river. Would have liked easier access further down the river. Also would have liked to have table/chairs on back porch to sit in during the evening. David was quick to answer any questions we had.
Cute little home with gorgeous view of the field. We saw deer everyday and cows and a cute little skunk. Beautiful sunsets each night too!
Photos are accurate of home. It’s a little dated but everything works and is clean. AC runs cold throughout house even in the 100 degree weather. The river is nearby if you want to go fishing or a swim. Dinosaur valley state park is a 20 min drive so super close. We loved it!!!
We came here over spring break with the family. Our kids rage from 6-13 years old and they all loved it. Watching the sunsets by the fire was our favorite part. The house is old but clean and has almost everything you need from cups to condiments. As mentioned in other reviews, there is nothing to sit on outside (and nothing from the house you could use) so bring some camp chairs. We didn’t have room, otherwise we would have brought some. It also wouldn’t hurt to bring your own pillows/blankets. The kids didn’t complain but the king in the master was pretty uncomfortable. Mattress didn’t fit the box spring and you could def tell! Overall we had a wonderful experience. Staying outside the city in an older house was far better than something more updated with no outdoor space!

Place needs a lot of work
The floors need to be addressed asap before someone falls through it. Their is a really really bad bug problem in that house. These bugs were all over the place. They lined the dinner table at night all around the edges.
There were only 2 washrags and there was 5 of us for 3 nights, 2 dish towels so we wnt and bought some, 2 rolls of toilet paper for 5 people for 3 nights, no toaster, tv in master bedroom does not work, door to bathroom and boat room does not work. No chairs or table on patio, charcoal grill needs to be replaced. We stayed there 4 years ago and had no complaints. Also front door is messed up. Sorry for such a long message
Came down for a short getaway. Everything was as described! My 2yo son loved waking up and looking for the deers and cows! Anytime I had a question, David was quick to respond, before, during and after our stay he answered within a few minutes. Definitely plan on coming back!
This place was perfect for a little weekend getaway with the wife and kids. The accommodations were very nice, everything was clean and neat when we got there, AC worked great, a definite necessity for the brutal Texas summer. Me and my 6 year old boy had a blast hiking the nearby trail and spending time by the water. The view from the porch is amazing, the sunset was beautiful. The kids loved watching the cows grazing, waking up to the sound of their mooing and all the other sounds of nature was really nice. It’s a great place to spend a few days and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and reconnect with nature. Highly recommend!
This older double wide has been cleaned and nicely decorated. Located on property with cows and other wildlife very close by. Convenient to the Dinosaur Valley State Park ( remember to reserve a spot for this). We were reminded of our stays at grandmas house in the country where everything slowed down and we could unplug. Get ready for one of the best sunsets around.
