Renew@Coniferidge ... Located in a beautiful wooded setting.

We built this small house on our property ( completed in 2017 ) to welcome people to the beautiful area we live in. Our location is close to many places one might like to explore. A wonderful selection of vineyards and historical places are close by.

This newly constructed studio offers a peaceful, clean simple space, all white decor and comfortable modern mix furnishings. It is situated a short distance from the main home and offers just the privacy you are looking for.

Located in beautiful Charlottesville Va. is an easy drive to restaurants, shopping, art, culture, wineries, history, parks and the University of Virginia.

So whether you are visiting for an event or a getaway, come and enjoy!


Hike to Rivanna River through Fernbrook Natural Area. Nearby Preddy Creek Equestrian Trail and Mountain Bike Trail. Vineyards minutes away: Horton, Burnley, Barboursville. 30 other vineyards in the surrounding area. Close to Monticello, Montpelier, and Ash Lawn-Highland presidential homes. Civil war history. Blue ridge mountains. Skyline drive. Walk to Fernbrook bird sanctuary and nature hike.

A local market is less than 5 miles away .

The room was clean, we didn't see anyone except Neow the greeter/security cat who was adorable. It was a quiet weekend to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The owners left detailed instructions that were easy to understand /execute. The property was well maintained and I would recommend it to anyone.

A Great Stay and New Best Friend

We loved staying at the Renew Retreat. The cottage had everything we needed to make our short stay in Charlottesville ideal. While spending time on the back patio, we made a new best friend named "Neow" - a cute and extremely friendly black cat that came for daily visits. What a charming and peaceful retreat! The space was even cuter than the pics online! It was also a gorgeous setting—we loved being in the woods and feeling like it was remote but still being a short drive from Charlottesville. Definitely recommend!

A great little getaway in Virginia wine county

Renew is a beautifully appointed, immaculately clean and well equipped cottage. The serene surroundings made for an ideal setting and an excellent place for our day trips to Monticello, area wineries and downtown Charlottesville for dining and Adventures. We plan to come back to the area and will definitely want to stay at Renew.

What a Gem!

Just loved this quiet, private getaway that was just exactly the right size for two and had everything we needed! And even though we were tucked away, it was still less than a half hour to Charlottesville.

Perfect House in the Woods

We stayed here for a long weekend during our daughter’s graduation from UVA. I wish we had discovered this before our daughter was leaving Charlottesville. This place is perfect - clean, well equipped, and a comfortable bed. They even provided snacks. We will definitely stay here again!

We couldn’t be more complimentary of the cabin and hosts. The hosts were fantastic and answered any questions we had and even sent us a recommendation on where to find some good food. The Cabin was the perfect get away to unwind and relax. Had everything we needed and then some. Absolutely beautiful scenery and great location close to lots of good wine and attractions. A wonderful getaway!

This property is incredibly clean and stylish. The setting is beautiful with big tall trees surrounding the property. It's very peaceful and the perfect place to rest and renew. Perfect getaway!

My fiancé and I had an amazing stay! Everything was so clean and well maintained. We were a little surprised at first by how close the main house was to this place, but the outdoor spaces were thought out so carefully we felt like we had total privacy! Also, their cat “Neow” was honestly one of the main highlights of our stay! Sweetest cat I’ve ever met - she came around every morning while we drank our coffee outside to say hi and lounge in our laps. We’d love to come back again next time we need a getaway among the trees.

Beautiful space but terrible hospitality

The property and space were just what we expected. However, we had an unforeseen situation that required an extra adult to have to spend the night late on Friday. I planned to make the host aware of the extra person first thing in the morning since it was too late to call or text. Much to my dismay, my phone was blowing up early Saturday morning demanding payment for the third adult. I absolutely understood the terms of the stay only included 2 adults and I knew there would certainly be an extra charge. That said, the additional fee was unreasonable and the host was unwilling to compromise. Her attitude quite frankly put a "bad taste in my mouth." If that wasn't bad enough, the host actually accused me of stealing her wooden hangers (WTH- I didn't even know there was a closet!). I loved the property but wasn't a fan of the lack of hospitality.
